I've come to understand and share the sentiment my Dad often expressed, "I miss the old days; times were different." Now, I find myself experiencing the same nostalgia for simpler times, like 6-10 years ago. People inquire if I've visited the new downtown lounge. The truth is, I haven't, and I'm uncertain if I ever will.

The moments I cherished most were spent at OSI when Isam was the owner. Those were the times I relished - sitting, conversing with some wonderful people, and soaking in the presence of Isam, the owner. It was a unique and unforgettable dynamic that can never be recreated. However, I've also undergone a personal transformation, and that desire no longer resonates with me. The old OSI was more than just a cool hangout spot. It wasn't solely about the cigar selections; it was about a person who poured his heart and soul into his business. That's something irreplaceable.

As I've grown older, my circle has shrunk. I've become more selective about the company I keep, and I'm content with that. With age comes a diminishing appetite for wasting time on trivial pursuits. Instead, I yearn to engage in meaningful activities that impact the people I hold dear. I've learned that it's crucial to be discerning about the individuals with whom you associate and to whom you invest your energy, time, trust, and love. Stay true to you!

This past Saturday was great to have the Canton Farmers Market back downtown! They will be here again this Saturday by the plaza on 4th and Court NW. Hours are from 10-1. Come downtown, do some shopping, support the locals and have fun!
