The Deer Hollow trails were groomed today using the snowcat to groom the 24” of new snow.
It was a beautiful day, and the trails came out really well.
We were fortunate enough to get our parking lot plowed today as well!!
It looks like it’s going to be a great weekend to get out and enjoy some good times up at the Deer Hollow Winter Recreation Area!!

Exciting news! ❄ Cedar Breaks National Monument has announced the return of their guided snowshoe walks at the monument this winter!

The guided walks will begin this Saturday (January 15th) and continue through March. They will be offered each Saturday and Sunday, snowshoes and poles will be provided for participants; reservations are required.

The Utah State Legislature asked Utah’s Division of State Parks to study the feasibility of developing a State Park, or other designated state land use, at Bridal Veil Falls. The area under study only includes the land owned by Utah County at the base of the falls. Most importantly for us:

Birthing Rock, a prominent rock imagery site along Kane Creek Road in the Moab Field Office, was recently vandalized. The BLM strongly condemns vandalism of cultural resources and is working with professional conservators to remove the offensive graffiti. To prevent further damage, please do not attempt to clean or remove the graffiti.

The BLM is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual(s) responsible for the vandalism. If you have any information concerning this vandalism, please contact BLM Law Enforcement at 435-259-2131 or 800-722-3998. You can remain anonymous.

It is up to all of us to protect public lands for future generations to learn from and enjoy. The BLM encourages everyone who visits public lands to practice Leave No Trace principles and visit with respect. Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics Bureau of Land Management
