We have a tradition on this show, or rather I do: whenever we have a new crew member or members, I take everyone out to eat. This meal, midway through a day off trip to Cape Point, was particularly special: Mozambique prawns, local, fresh calamari, two kinds of grilled fresh line caught fish, and even Peri Peri chicken livers. We sat in the shade of a big, beautiful tree and ate. Everything was done over woodfired grills and in woodfired ovens. We washed it down with local ice cold beer and fantastic South African white wine. One of the most memorable meals I've had. Kommetjie, South Africa.
