Only 2 days left to submit to Sirocco's Fall 2017 issue! Help us make this our best edition to date!

Sirocco, GSW's Literary and Arts Magazine, is seeking submissions for our Fall 2017 issue--the first Fall issue of Sirocco in over 30 years!

In its modern incarnation, Sirocco has only been published once per academic year during the Spring semester. In the past, however, Sirocco was published twice a year, with Fall and Spring issues. In 2017, we are reviving that practice to offer more publication opportunities for students to express their unique voices and visions.

This issue's theme is "Deceptions and Confessions." We welcome creative literary, visual arts, and music submissions from anyone with some past or present affiliation with Georgia Southwestern State University. We will be accepting submissions at [email protected] until September 30.

There is no limit to the number of submissions. Submissions must not have been previously published and must be submitted in electronic format. Authors and artists should have some present or past affiliation with Georgia Southwestern State University. No work will be returned.

Written works have a length restriction of 3000 words or 40 lines for poetry. Proofreading is the responsibility of the author.

All visual media (with the exception of time-based works) are welcomed. Preferred image format is at least 300 dpi in CMYK color mode. You may, optionally, include a short artist statement (up to 250 words) with your entry.

Music submissions must be original compositions or in the public domain. Compositions can be of any length.

All submissions should be submitted electronically to [email protected]

Once your submission is received, a release form will be emailed to you. This must be filled out and sent back for your submission to be considered for publication.

Thank you for your contributions and for being a part of this historic campus publication!
