Why Publish?
Publishing contributes to the credibility of an artist. A lot of artists dream of writing a book and sharing their thoughts and ideas with an audience. Publishing helps reach out to a larger audience that goes beyond the dance community to anyone interested in Indian Classical Dance.
It will be our endeavor to support dancers who wish to become published authors in the Indian classical dance space.

23/02/2023

Why is reading important for dancers?
Books are a medium to transfer knowledge of experienced artists to the young dance students.
Like any other performing artist, reading equips a dancer with thinking skills. It increases their awareness as an artist and deepens their insight of the art form. It helps a dancer to adapt to the ever changing audience and connect with them.
Vedathek will be the bridge that connects artists to knowledge through books on Indian classical dance.

22/02/2023

IMMERSE
Sit back relax and immerse yourself in reading and dancing. Our books will assist young dance students to grow into thoughtful performers. Immersion of dance is achieved by the deep understanding of the text, performing with clarity and feedback from the audience.

Introducing Vedathek
Vedathek is a publishing house for dance and dance- related books with particular focus on Indian classical dance. Books related to dance are not easily available and the idea to start Vedathek is to bring the knowledge of experienced artists to the young dance students in the form of books.
Our logo represents the tree of knowledge juxtaposed against yin & yang. It signifies balance in life. When life-force energy is appropriately balanced it flows smoothly maintaining and promoting a good state of physical (through dance) and emotional health (through active thinking)

20/02/2023

DANCE
Our passion is Indian Classical Dance. All our reading, thoughts and conversations will revolve around it. It will be our endeavor to bring together artists, writers and connoisseurs in the Indian classical dance space.
Our aim is to make available books on dance and to support dancers who aspire to become published authors.

11/02/2023

We love books. Reading equips us with the power of reasoning. It helps us acquire knowledge which empowers us to make better decisions, communicate with ease and be more aware of our surroundings. It helps us to keep calm, build focus, reduce stress and sleep better. The benefits of picking a book and reading are simply endless.
The aim of our page will be to engage our followers with the best recommendations and reads in the Indian classical dance space. If you’re an avid reader or a budding writer we encourage you to follow our page.
As they say “Let us read, and let us dance; these two acquisitions can only make this world a better place”

10/02/2023

A reader will always engage in active thinking. They will carry a thought with them and in due course convert it into something bigger and better with all the knowledge they have accumulated.
This is equally true for dancers and helps them grow into thoughtful performers. We are here to help you power your thoughts and ideas.
The aim of our page is to make available books on dance. And to support dancers with thought provoking ideas so they can become a published author in the Indian classical dance space.

09/02/2023

If knowledge is power then sharing knowledge is power multiplied. The aim of our page is to be interactive so that we have conversations, ask questions, share feedback and exchange information.
Follow us if you like dancing, watching or being associated with Indian classical dance and see yourself sharing your skills and ideas with others.
