You can bring a natural, rustic vibe into your home, even if you don't live in the country. Use neutral tones as a backdrop to showcase your vintage and antique treasures, as Tamsyn demonstrates in the August issue.

You can find these treasures at car-boot fairs, eBay, or from companies such as Weathered & Worn.

As we look to the holidays and some time for relaxation and a little escapism, perhaps we can reset our optimism, too? This is the over-arching feeling in our August issue.

Our cover feature is a lovely Dutch home with a story of joy and renewal out of sadness.
We look at how to bring that carefree seaside feeling home and ideas for decorating with blue, a celestial colour that speaks of spirit and bringing dreams to life.

It's wonderful to see a new hotel Grand Hotel opening in popular holiday destination Mallorca, and we explore its interiors story and how to find inspiration there for your own home.

It’s a privilege to go on a summer holiday at all, not everyone has the means or the right circumstances to do so. Maybe, if we’re able to escape this month and feel that spark of optimism and excitement we can remember to cherish it, and share our good fortune where we can.
Enjoy the issue.

White creates a feeling of light and space, uniting disparate elements while subtly highlighting original period features such as floorboards, fire surrounds and plasterwork. It’s easy to live with, calming, cool and clean and it never goes out of fashion. No wonder it’s the go-to colour for walls and floors in many of the most stylish and sophisticated of homes, and is so often favoured by artists, designers, architects and stylists.

Kate believed it was important to restore period-specific features throughout the property. She decided to include a classic Aga in the kitchen and cast-iron radiators. Additionally, she refreshed the kitchen cabinets by painting them in Craig and Rose Pullman Green to maintain the heritage aesthetic.

It is not surprising that our bathrooms are slowly becoming more decorated and comfortable. The 1970s trend for carpeted bathrooms hasn’t made a comeback yet (thank goodness) but houseplants, books, patterned floors or walls and vintage furniture are all creeping into bathroom settings, making them feel much more homely and welcoming. Like our bedrooms or living rooms, we want bathrooms that reflect our personalities and feel like rooms we can truly relax in.

This issue celebrates summer and all things outdoors, so how fitting that we finally have beautiful sunshine as our July issue goes on-sale.
It’s funny how obsessed we Brits are with the weather, and have gone from ‘when will it stop raining?’ to ‘It’s too hot,’ in the space of a week.
And now that summer is here, what could be more joyous and celebratory than an outdoor bath? That ( and an outdoor shower) are decadent additions to our cover feature home, the most beautiful rustic sanctuary that’s full of ideas and inspiration.
Meanwhile, Georgian renovation is a great example of seamless and stylish indoor/outdoor living. Staying in the garden, we recommend a host of gorgeous outside spaces and spotlight iconic house and garden
Finally, see creativity in action with our Craft Focus. This issue, we feature the art of pub sign painting, and talk to , and on how this uniquely British phenomenon charts our history and culture. Indeed, the pub is the perfect place to go come rain or shine 

For this project, she used the Guild Lane range Bunting Yellow and Dover Chalk finishing off the unit in their satin Clear Coat.
