*INDIAN ARMY CELEBRATES RAKSHA BANDHAN WITH ORPHAN GIRLS IN COLLABORATION WITH NGOs*

Wednesday, 30 August Raksha Bandhan is celebrated not just in India but throughout the world. This is the festival which celebrates the *bond of trust and affection between brothers and sisters*. On this day sisters tie Rakhis on wrist of their brothers and in return the brothers promise sisters to always protect them from any evil.

With same feeling in heart, and strengthen love and bond with Indian Army, 75 girls from *Orphanages in Bamhama and Kupwara* were present on the event at Saran view point and tied Rakhis on hands of soldiers. For the event various NGOs were also present. A team of six individuals from *AAMHI PUNEKAR*, a team of five ladies working with *AAWHAN PALAK* foundation alongwith 150 Kg sweets and gifts for Army personnel and locals were present for the event. The event also witnessed guests from *KAFILA FOUNDATION* alongwith Principal of APS Beas, Director and trustee of Amcha ghar were present with strength of 15 individuals working in close collaboration with various NGOs.

On the event *media personnel* from 15 agencies were also present and involved in celebration with Armed forces. Guests enjoyed by doing boating, exchanging of sweets and various games played during the event. The programmes of similar nature shall be kept in future to address all cross sections of society which need assistance. Civilians and NGO organisations were thankful to Indian Army for organising *games, karaoke and dance events* at such a large scale for everyone.

Farooq, Omar conveyed condolences



JAMMU August 29th - National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Mr Omar Abdullah today expressed grief over the passing away of Son-in-Law of Walid Daad Provincial Secretary Jammu Province and conveyed condolences to the bereaved family.



In their messages, Dr Farooq Abdullah and Mr Omar Abdullah prayed for peace to the departed soul and expressed solidarity with other members of the family.



In the condolence message, General Secretary Haji Ali Mohammed Sagar, Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamaal Additional General Secretary and Rattan Lal Gupta Provincial President Jammu have also expressed grief and prayed for peace to the departed soul.



Senior leaders of the National Conference have also conveyed their condolences to the bereaved family. ۔بھاٹیدھار۔۔سماجی کارکن حاجی شمیم احمد نے محکمہ جل شکتی پونچ کے Ex.En پونچھ اور DC پونچھ سے گزارش کی ہے کہ WSS Malash Dehri کا کام ٹھکیدار سے جلد شروع کروایا جائے ۔
حاجی شمیم نے کہا ہے کہ اپر
بھاٹیدھار اور پوٹھی.قاضیاں ۔ڈھیری۔ٹھیرا ۔نگالگلی۔گننا والا ٹھیرا علاقہ اسی سکیم میں کوور ہوتا ہے ۔
ٹھکیدار کو کام allot ہوئے بہت مہینے ہو گے ہیں لیکن وہ کام شروع کرنے کا نام ہی نہیں لیتا ۔
اس علاقہ کے لوگ بہت ہی پریشان ہیں اور خاص طور پر گرمی کے موسم میں مال مویشیوں اور پینے کے پانی کے لئے میلوں دور جانا پڑتا ہے ۔
حاجی شمیم نے DC صاحب سے اور Ex.En صاحب سے اپیل کی ہے کہ یا تو ٹھکیدار سے جلدی کام شروع کروایا جائے یا اس ٹھکیدار کو blacklist کر کے کام دوبارہ ٹینڈر کر کے جلدی سے جلدی شروع کروایا جائے ۔
