We’re delighted to part of this great initiative to help boost sustainable tourism in Údarás na Gaeltachta costal communities and beyond. We have created two accessible tour templates for those unable to climb the steps at Blacksod Lighthouse and Valentia Island Development Lighthouse. Both part of Great Lighthouses of Ireland
Our solution will be pre-loaded onto our commercial headsets and left on site to allow anyone unable to climb the stairs the opportunity to explore the lighthouse, in full. Doing this from ground level allows for a few things 1) The user is on site 2) The user can smell and hear the surroundings 3) It creates a fully immersive and inclusive experience

The Inishkea tour has been specifically put together to give a flavour of what visitors can expect to see when they visit, we wanted to preserve the beauty and charm of the island and therefore only a few images are included…
However, we have “Google” mapped out a portion of the island for Blacksod Sea Safari and this tour will be available on their website soon. Exploring this tour will allow you to walk the pier, along the beach and navigate around and inside one of the houses.
