The garbage crisis has been a constant and highly visible reminder of the challenges we face. Addressing the crisis and developing sustainable and long-term solutions remains to be one of the government's key priorities.

The garbage crisis will pose a serious threat to the economy, health, and the environment, if not solved immediately. Especially with the increasing number of solid waste due to the pandemic, the burden of the issue intensifies. Proper waste disposal is with no doubt a necessity and can be considered as one of the country’s main responsibilities, wherein priority should be given to waste reduction and recycling initiatives. Furthermore, there is a need for a nationwide single-use plastic ban and a switch for sustainability.

It is indeed high time to call for action and to call for change.

It is within our responsibility to resolve this garbage crisis immediately to ensure our country's future and for the next generation as well.

The coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic is the defining global health crisis of today’s time. Since its development in Wuhan, China late last year, the virus has infected more than 44 million and killed over a million people. However despite being informed of this disease, many are still unaware of how to travel safely during the pandemic.

Many restrictions have been established but it is crucial that the Department of Tourism (DOT) and airlines continue to inform people of the proper safety measures. Furthermore, people must learn how to adapt to the new normal for their own safety.
