With 2023 coming to an end within a couple weeks— SaidaiRacing has decided to approach 2024 with a fresh mindset and goal.
We’ve always focused on our builds and the profits of our side projects to satisfy our financial satisfaction which is great. However SDR has been lacking emotional satisfaction, and would like to focus more on the passion for racing whilst supporting the SDR business!
SDR will be approaching 2024 with the mindset of “we are beginners!”. SDR will aim to approach things with an emphasis on learning and growing as if we were beginners (which we are in a lot of aspects). We will follow this mindset in both racing and our service in hopes grow our passion and further the pursuit of the SDR vision.
I thank every one of my supporters that have been watching my progress with SDR, and I’m sorry for the long post!

Today we took delivery of SaidaiRacing’s newest car, an 06 Subaru Impreza Wagon!
The Impreza suffered ringland failure. However the previous owner was unsure if that was the cause as one morning it wouldn’t turn on. Because of this, we will be tearing the Impreza down to diagnose the issue.
SaidaiRacing plans to repair this car and sell it once it has been repaired and we are satisfied with its state!
It is really rare to still be able to enjoy our cars here in the end of November into December— I’m going to make the most of it!

The goal of this week is working on some projects for my final 2 weeks of university and catching up on editing some footage from the show.
It’s gut wrenching every time I think of how inconsistent I am, I will be working harder from now on!

FD3S OEM Rear suspension full set for sale. Would recommend replacement of bushings on trailing arms and left lower control arm.
Asking price is $600 for the full set! If this does not sell, we plan to clean it up and rebuild them as spares to sell or for the FD.

The SAIDAI FD3S has had some crazy development over the last 2.5 years.
Excited to continue onward with the journey and see what new things arise.

Was driving the RX7 last night and decided to stop by the local gas station to take amateur photos 😅
Haven’t been driving the RX7 too often since it’s been colder and I’m finishing university in less than a month.
I’ll finally soon have more free time to focus on SaidaiRacing and have been really thinking about the vision of SaidaiRacing— I’d be lying if I said I have a set vision. But I know eventually we’ll find our way!

Cleaned up the s2000 nicely today since it’s the main car I use on my days off. S2000 is such a great car.
I’ve been wondering what kind of path SAIDAIRACING should take with the s2000. It’s too nice and low mileage to use as a HPDE vehicle just yet 😅 but I think it would be nice to have the full SPOON SPORTS catalog and get it certified as a Spoon car!

It was a very long day starting at 4 AM 😴— but it was well worth it! The SAIDAI FD3S was awarded the “best performance” award at Tuner Evolution Minneapolis 2023!
Big thanks to Gloss Cities Detailing for taking care of our FD, and our new friends Musashi for their unmatched hospitality and for printing out and installing the FD’s new decals! Lastly thank you to the SDR team for helping get the car running before the seasons last show.
Todays group of people truly has inspired me and showed me what it meant to be surrounded by cool people who all have the same goal as you. To many more events together! 🥂 recap video will come soon!

Been bed ridden all day today due to sickness so I didn’t get to post these.
But it was a fun day breaking in the FD, visiting our friends Gloss Cities Detailing and Impulse Performance.
The SAIDAI FD3S was dropped off at Gloss Cities Detailing to be prepped for Tuner Evolution Minneapolis !
The FD is finally back on its feet! Although it was short lived as we went straight to Rompy-Sans shop to further dial in and address some suspension issues.
There’s always room for improvement!
The new heavy duty street full face sprung clutch has been installed and paired with their 17 lb street flywheel.
We also inspected the old clutch as it’s very apparent what caused slipping under load during acceleration, the clutch disc and flywheel are scored with heat marks and show very big signs of wear!
Although we’ve spent more time than building and doing maintenance this year, I’m happy that A LOT of things have been sorted out with the SAIDAI FD3S. Hopefully this leads to a season full of racing next season 🤞😀

Today the team and I took the FD’s transmission out in just under an hour! 😀
Now we wait to put in the clutch this weekend.
Once again, the SAIDAI FD3S is disassembled for maintenance and new parts 😅
Over the last few weeks we successfully installed the Parts Shop MAX USA / PARTS SHOP MAX JAPAN rear suspension FD3S kit! Next we are going to install a new clutch from Impulse Performance and address an oil leak.
Tonight we had Rompy-San and Xo-San come over unexpectedly to help install some new upper control arms while I wrap up some school work and work items.
We still have a lot of work! But it’s nice to have good friends come over to spend time with us and enjoy the evening at SaidaiRacing.
New clutch for the SAIDAI FD3S came in! Decided to go with street heavy duty and sprung clutch along with their street lite 17lbs flywheel.
Big thanks to Impulse Performance for getting the clutch to us so quick!
Fractured my finger 2 weeks ago— so good friend Rompy-San came over to give me a helping hand to move the SAIDAI FD3S onto its operating table and helped prepping it for surgery!
The garage is still damaged and has yet to be prepared so we had to move a lot of things around so we can work on the FD. Big thanks to Rompy-San!
Out and about.
Was at the shopping center the other week and picked up some “JDM” car care products!
The microfiber cloths were very nice and the window cleaner was very good, it left minimum residue and would thin itself out making it very easy to wipe.
I also found the s2000’s OEM documents with its original sale sticker!

SaidaiRacing was a group I created to share my passion for motorsports and JDM cars. It was always our goal to always give our best in whatever we do, whether that’s building our cars or running laps at the circuit.
It’s always been SaidaiRacing’s dream to restore/fix JDM cars and sell them while setting records at the circuits with the very cars we built and I thought maybe selling the beloved FD would get me closer to that dream. I realized that this FD is not only the flagship of SaidaiRacing but also the reason why I met some of you amazing people. Selling the FD would mean almost feel like I’m severing my connection with you people— so I’ve decided to keep the SAIDAI FD3S!
With that being said, I will continue to work tirelessly and relentlessly to ensure that SaidaiRacing becomes a reality!

Successful first track day with the FD2 Inspired Civic. Here's a couple hot laps of me pushing these 320 tw Hankook v12's to its limit! Had a lot of fun learning the line and driving style with the civic, trail braking is definitely the key in a FF platform! It's important to get the nose in. This car was so fun to drive that i'm already thinking of next upgrades to the suspension and a set of track wheels as I now know how this car feels like with less grip and tons of body roll.
