We become impatient with constant interruptions when working on a project. Sometimes it's challenging to get back on task when we stop and start again. God asked Jonah to travel to Ninevah, which meant he would lay everything down to continue forward in the work God commissioned. When we surrender our lives to God, we must lay everything down to follow Him. Surrender may require finding a new job, a different residence, or making an immense lifestyle change. We will listen and make necessary changes according to the will of God.

The Israelites rejoiced with success when they followed instructions from God on how to conquer Jericho. God provides us with a clear plan of action regarding sin when we surrender our lives to Him. We turn to the Holy Spirit and ask Him to convict us of our sins. The Holy Spirit will then pinpoint the darkness we need to remove. With sin removed, peace and happiness overflow.

God asks Job if he knew how the foundation of the earth formed. Of course, the answer is no. Even if explained to us, we would be incapable of understanding; our limited minds are humble. We will never fully understand the wisdom or power of God when it comes to the plan He has for our life. Instead, we place our faith in our Creator.
