Tomorrow is the day!!! Straight No Chaser premieres to the public at the film fest! I’m so excited, nervous, and proud. Proud of how this movie turned out. I love everything about it and I can’t wait for others to see it!

For years (and I mean years and years), I’ve had this idea in my head. An idea that I kept pushing off or coming up with every excuse under the sun why it’s not the right time to do it. I’m too busy, just started a new job, just had a baby…but the idea wouldn’t stop bothering me and I’m thankful for that. The idea is to turn some of my poems into short films and I’m SO very blessed to finally start this project. The first film of the series is Straight, No Chaser. Starring Teremis Boykin and Sade Corell and I can’t wait to share it with the world! But until then, I have to share some of my favorite images from the film so far. 🥰😊

This past weekend I took a one on one photography course where the instructor taught me how to use my specific camera. It was so insightful. I liked taking pics but it wasn’t as fun because I couldn’t figure my camera out. Now that I have more of an understanding of my Nikon, I’m obsessed with taking pics. I’ve been taking pictures of random things in my house. 🤣❤️

Whenever you get free time, watch Jo Koy’s new stand up on Netflix. TRUST me, it does not disappoint. It was hilarious from beginning to end, had me and my husband’s sides hurting. It was inspiring to hear his struggles to get where he is and he had a lot of messages in it. Like seriously, go watch it. 😊
