✨🔮✨
Did you know I grew up in a “spiritualist” household? I talk about this in Answers in the Dark. Among many other things, we affectionately named a ghost Mrs Hislop (there’s a story behind that), who to this day (almost certainly unfairly) still gets the blame for strange things that happen in the house. I imagine her today as a sparkly old lady, drinking a cup of tea, still chuckling at the time my Nan found her glasses in the airing cupboard. (True story).
Not once have I ever been scared of the relationship we have between this world and the next, probably because I was raised - and genuinely “know” and believe - that sadly we have more to fear from the living, than we do the dead. To make this point, I’ve dedicated much of my therapeutic career to helping the bereaved, who have been comforted by the caring messages they receive from their loved ones in dreams. ( I talk about this here > https://medium.com//visitation-dreams-what-they-are-and-why-they-matter-653ed7149b1 )
Unfortunately there are people in this arena who display a lot of ego and lack good intentions, and who will try to scare you or blame you, in order to convince you they can help. But there are also many wonderful people trying to do good work, and make a difference to the world around them. I’m grateful to know many.
If you’re ever in any doubt about the credence of someone claiming to be “spiritual”, always check before you invest in anything they have to offer.
I hope this helps. ✨🙏✨
