The closest you can get to a Hallmark Channel downtown Christmas in Central Arkansas. The Conway Illuminate festivities and tree lighting are a must to get your family in the Christmas spirit!

After being shut in by COVID, ice, and cold temperatures, we made a trek to one of our favorite floats: Cadron Creek! It did not disappoint! We had lunch by a waterfall (not going to tell you, just keep your eyes open), and actually got a mild tan though it was mostly cloudy.

We’re so ready for warmer temps and more outdoor adventures!

Old charm comes to life at Historic Washington State Park. Take a step back in time and enjoy perhaps a new holiday tradition. It’s happening right now, tonight! Sorry we’re late the punch on this! The radio said tomorrow and Saturday this event will be in progress. There’s some differing info on the website. We recommend calling first!

Reposting because the fall colors are absolutely stunning here in Conway (our home). If you’re in the Hendrix Village area, take a look around. We suspect all of central Arkansas to be in full eye popping color this weekend! This trip below is a great run to make!

You know, it’s really doesn’t matter what road you take, just get out of your house and enjoy the show nature is putting on for you. Take the family. Take the dog. Take the phones, and lock them up.

As the state’s fall colors start to peak, we’d like to share one of our favorite runs to Hot Springs. Plenty of scenery and once your arrive into this historic town, the world is your oyster!

Rain and cooler temps enter the state which will make this weekend PRIME for making a trip to see the leaves change. We highly recommend Mountain View and all its wonders!

We were in Jasper yesterday and it did not disappoint! It’s one of our favorite sleepy mountain towns and this coming weekend should have the colors at their peak!

Mmmm! It’s that time of year when Arkansas shows its fall colors and its harvest! These pear preserves come straight from Mrs. Mills orchard in C**t. She hand picks the pears and then makes some of the best preserves you can find in the state.

All we need is a hot drop biscuit…

Petit Jean is home to several trails and are worth the hike while the leaves are changing. The best time to visit for fall foliage will be the last week of October and the first week of November.

Hopefully there will be rain before you plan to go, which will make Cedar Falls all the better reward for the hike.

This is a perfect day getaway in Northeast Arkansas. It’s the third largest spring in North America and it’s always running…. Rumor has it that’s it’s becoming a popular place to “pop the question.”

Over 9 million gallons per hour, a 10 acre lake, an historical mill, waterfalls, and enough runoff to power one of Arkansas's best trout streams that keeps float trips flowing all year long!

Lots of snow melt and icicle adorned waterfalls throughout the Ozark and Ouachita mountains. A great choice is Glory Hole! Frozen waterfall hunting is a rare opportunity. They’ll be melting today and great for photos. Get out of your house! You’ve been holed-up for the whole week!

Be careful, it can be slick. Don’t get stuck!

Tongue-in-cheek title aside (sorry guys, we had to).. Glory Hole is a very appropriate name for one of, if not THE, most iconic waterfall in the entire state. Stuck right…

It’s been a long week and we took a break from posting... The weather has been stellar this weekend! We decided to smoke some ribs using some good ole Arkansas made hot pepper jelly!

The blackberry is from the Conway Farmers Market and Deb’s Hot Pepper Jelly is from Me and McGee Market in North Little Rock.

I wish our friends Forevermost Farms had a pepper jelly recipe - we’d be using it!
