Today, as we drove on O'odham lands, we came across one of the original Integrated Fixed Towers (IFTs), Elbit America, of the Israel-based Elbit Systems. In the following weeks, we will be sharing more info. in regards to a potential increased funding in 2025 for CBP to upgrade and add additional IFTs across the U.S./Mexico border, which includes fully integrated systems through artificial intelligence (AI). Three companies will supply the towers: Advanced Technology Systems, General Dynamics, and Elbit America. What this means for the T.O. Nation, we're not quite sure yet.

🛴 📢 Indigenous Woman Still Coming Through! We are so happy to have been able to attend Pima County Recorder's Office Gabriella Cázares-Kelly meet and greet fundraising event. We hope that you will join us in supporting her by voting for her in her re-election.
She made history as the first Native American to be elected to a Countywide seat in Pima County in 2020, and has then worked tirelessly to fight for voting accessibility in Native/rural communities and for underrepresented voices in our county.
Hostess with the mostess lol eeee jk but today's event was fun meeting new people and long time/new listeners of the podcast 🫶🏽🎙 got to do some stickers exchanges with other O'odham, thank you! Ranger working for Saguaro Nat'l Park in East Scukson (tucson). He discusses the benefits & challenges that lye within the realm of working for the Nat'l Park Service.
A short film review by Collette (Diné/Salish and Kootenai), who watched the film titled "Beyond All Boundaries: Our Land, Our Water," one of many films featured at the Native Voices In Film event today at the Loft Cinema in Tucson, AZ.

Thanks to @az.illustrated for creating an amazing short piece highlighting Gertie's background in waila music 🎶 I was so happy & surprised to see a short clip that included my late Grandpa Lester Vavages (bat) who was an original member of the Gu-Achi Fiddlers of the Tohono O’odham Nation. He also played alongside Gerties dad the late Augustine Lopez Sr. (bat). This was such a great video 📹
