A few weeks ago we were set to film a wedding in Highlands, NC when we found out there was a 100% chance of snow. We had to alter a few plans to be there the night before and stay in a lodge nearby, just in case we had to walk.

Sure enough, throughout the night, 8 inches of snow fell.

The result? A winter wonderland wedding.

It was so beautiful, we knew we couldn't wait months to share so we created a sneak peek.

A few weeks ago we announced that our new website was live, and part of that rebrand included logo design.

We went through quite a few different options for our logo and ultimately decided on the image you see here.

With intention, we chose a crest to give nod to our pursuit of creating films to be cherished for generations while the florals spoke of the feminine touch each film receives. Finally, the typography felt as if it would stand the test of time.

Funny enough, our final logo closely resembles the Elyse Serrano Video logo we carried for years.

HE PROPOSED... 9 years ago today 🤍

9 months into dating, Dustin decided to ask me to marry him.

We knew we wanted to marry each other and he had chosen a date a few months prior: February 10th, 2012.

He set the date not having a ring, not even knowing how he would afford a ring.

Fast forward to that week and he *still* didn’t have a ring. BUT that Wednesday, his car is considered totaled and he sells it for a few hundred dollars.

Then, that Thursday night— the NIGHT BEFORE he had set to propose— the ring store in Wilkes (where he lived) says “the first 5 people to the store get half-off of an engagement ring”. (WHAT KIND OF TIMING IS THAT?!— HINT: God’s 🙌🏻)

So that next day, he wakes up superrr early and gets in line to buy a ring. 💍

Come to find out, one of the rings they had was the *exact* style I had wanted and hinted to Dustin about. 🤩

That sets the plan in motion. He calls up his sister to take pictures and gets my roommates involved.

Then he makes up this whole plan about meeting our friends in Blowing Rock for ice cream before we go watch a movie.

Well, as we are driving to “get ice cream”, Dustin pulls over and says “hey, let’s go check out that Gazebo”. (He knew at that time I lovedddd Gazebo’s and thought they were super romantic).

Well, I did NOT want to go. 😆

It was February aka FREEZING in the mountains. 🥶

But he convinces me to get out of the car.

THEN, I see flower petals leading up to it and I’m like “BABE. We CANNOT go over there. Someone has it set up for something. We might RUIN it!!” 😵

Poor Dustin tries over and over to convince me to come into the gazebo and I will NOT do it!! He even says “look, there’s a J + K in here” thinking that will get me to come. And I’m like “EXACTLY. That’s not for us. Let’s GOOO!”

So I start walking back toward the car when he runs up and picks me up from behind. At that point I’m like “what are you DOING?!?!”

He carries me into the gazebo and says “I’m getting down on one knee and asking you to marry me”.

Y’all. I didn’t say yes for like THIRTY WHOLE SECONDS.

I just kept saying “are you serious? this isn’t a joke right?!”

Well, I finally realize it wasn’t a joke and say yes and we dance to.... wait for it... HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 🎶

Then we walk away hand in hand and head back to my apartment and I never even knew that Erica was there taking pics!!

9 years later, I would still say yes. Over and over and over again.
