"En principe, il n'y aurait aucune raison pour que la création de l'univers ne soit pas cyclique au lieu d'un événement unique qui finit par s'éteindre. En outre, le mécanisme a très probablement à voir avec l'échange d'informations entre les trous noirs à travers les horizons des évènements, puisque l'univers obéit à la condition d'un trou noir. Penrose le croit peut-être, et cela expliquerait pourquoi il traite le CMB comme un rayonnement de Hawking. En fait, le CMB est un rayonnement de corps noir à l'échelle universelle, ce qui signifie que le rayonnement de Hawking serait écrit sur la mauvaise métrique.
De plus, suivant le modèle proposé par l'approche holographique généralisée, le mécanisme est un peu différent de ce que pensait Penrose. Il ressemble à une plus grande quantité d'informations s'échappant d'un trou noir, comme un proton, arrivant dans un univers plus vaste présentant des gradients de pression plus faibles et se gonflant très rapidement pour finalement atteindre la stabilité. La relation résiduelle que nous voyons sur le CMB pourrait être l'information d'intrication de cet univers-mère d'où le proton s'est échappé."

Explanation: Made with narrowband filters, this cosmic snapshot covers a field of view about the size of the full Moon within the boundaries of the constellation Cygnus. It highlights the bright edge of a ring-like nebula traced by the glow of ionized sulfur, hydrogen, and oxygen gas. Embedded in the region's interstellar clouds of gas and dust, the complex, glowing arcs are sections of bubbles or shells of material swept up by the wind from Wolf-Rayet star WR 134, brightest star near the center of the frame. Distance estimates put WR 134 about 6,000 light-years away, making the frame over 50 light-years across. Shedding their outer envelopes in powerful stellar winds, massive Wolf-Rayet stars have burned through their nuclear fuel at a prodigious rate and end this final phase of massive star evolution in a spectacular supernova explosion. The stellar winds and final supernovae enrich the interstellar material with heavy elements to be incorporated in future generations of stars.

There is no up or down in space. Sattelites track their pointing direction using the same approach as on submarines and aircraft.

Stars older than the Universe? Well, yes... HD 140283, also known as the Methuselah star, is a whopping 14450 million years old! It is composed almost exclusively of Hydrogen and Helium, with few metals, which means that there must have been a generation of stars before HD 140283.
