over the last few months we have been getting lots of questions but mainly people just wanting to know how we are, we are we and why are we not doing videos.

We want to thank those of you have taken the time to ask us. It really feels great knowing how much you genuinely care.

Second we have been working, car repairs and boat repairs. There honestly is so much to do we don't really have any down time.

Third, well we thought no one would be interested in seeing our day to day life but now we see that some of you really would be interested in knowing.

we will start doing a weekly video to keep you up to date.

Today is what we make it!

Let's all remind ourselves that we don't have to please everyone.

We are beautiful and everyday we can grow more beautiful by become more grateful for what we do have. We should also be grateful for what we have now even if we don't want it.

We can do anything we desire to do. We just have to step out in faith with our actions and also claim it and never deny whatever it is we want! Don't ever doubt yourself.

You are stronger than your excuses. In fact, excuses are lies! Stop lying to yourself.

Why are you not pursuing your dreams?

Where there is a will there s a way. Stop! Believe in yourself.

Whether you succeed or fail is up to you and if you fail get back up and try again. Failing is just someone who tried and learn how not to. Keep trying until you succeed.

We do both get the question asked a lot on what food we store and how. My answer is dehydrate foods, canned meats, Lots of dehydrated fruits and veggies as well. We do buy a fair amount from this vendor on Amazon.
I still buy from them because I do love the simplicity of having it on the boat.

We don't buy the Now brand and have never tried it but we do purchase the Augson brand from the cans.
I believe our favorites is the vegan taco meat. Oh my gosh its so delicious! I like the Vegan burgers but was good on the grill the fell apart so I do add some Flax meal and water and that seemed to thicken it and make more sticky and held together. The vegetables and fruit is all excellent.
I would say once I open a can we try to use it up within two months.

Kai is still not totally right just yet but still recovering.

Update on Captain Kai. He is making more improvements daily.
He is still sleeping a lot but when he does get up he is his playful old self.

We had to take out little man to the emergency veterinarian clinic (a few days ago). Seems he had the start of Pancreatitis and had impacted a**l glands.

Lesson, do no feed your dog greasy meats. No bacon, pork chops, fried chicken.

Yes, dogs are carnivores but they wouldn't fry their food before eating it.
That being said, I just wanted people to know about this. I think Kai was so affected because he is so tiny. We could see he was in so much pain. His belly was swelling up and he became lethargic.
He is doing much better now but still cry's sometimes. He is sleeping a lot but starting to occasionally play.

UPDATE!
We are still isolating in Virginia. We are considering going to Key West for the winter months but have not decided for sure. This Covid stuff concerns us enough that we may bear the winter months in the cold Virginia Temps.
We do plan to complete several projects on the boat before doing any serious cruising again.

We will do a video soon to update you all.

Yesterday we headed out. We left the beautiful landscape of Crown Pointe Marina in Hayes, VA and decided to go a bit further south.
It was a cold day but manageable. We have a gimballed 1 burner stove in the cockpit and so we would turn it on and cook or warm some water up and it heated the enclosure up pretty comfortable.
Later we made our way to the Deep Creek Locks. We had the best time with the lock master...and as soon as you pass through the locks literally there is a long dock to tie up to for the night. It is very peaceful and clean area.
We ended the night with a nice dinner in the cockpit and then nestled in for the night...
How to stay warm?
Very warm sleeping bags and a MR. buddy Heater with an alcohol oven going.😂😂😂😂😂😂😅😅.
