Six military officers, all of them medical doctors attached to the 34 Military Hospital were arrested and detained yesterday on allegations of mutiny. As at press time, it was not clear whether or not they had been released. Capt Dr Luseni, Capt. Dr Paul Nabieu, Lt Dr Sorie Conteh, Lt Dr Ngevao, 2nd Lt Dr Kanu and 2nd Lt Dr Songo-Mbriwa were arrested for reportedly threatening to leave the military if their wages were not brought in line with public doctors who recently received a 500% salary increase following a long-drawn-out strike action.
