Cheers to my 200th brewery 🥳

Last summer, Allo and I planned an Amesbury brewery day to finally hit that milestone, and Taylor .taps and Katie met up with us!

We couldn’t have picked a better spot than Brewery Silvaticus. Known for their rustic ales and refined lagers, they’re set inside a historic mill building with an industrial-chic feel with high ceilings, a cozy yet spacious taproom, and a really inviting atmosphere.

🍺 Oblivion | Black Lager | 4.8%
One of my favorite styles so I had to grab it. Dark and roasty, super smooth, with a subtle cocoa note.

🍺 Requiem | Vienna Lager | 5%
Easy drinking and malty, with a nice biscuit flavor throughout.

I definitely need to come back when the weather is nicer to check out their beer garden.

Happy Birthday to me!! 🥳🎉

Today is my birthday and I'm keeping one of my favorite traditions going: visiting a new Tree House Brewing Company location during my birthday week.

Three years ago, Dan and I started this tradition with the goal of visiting every Tree House location together. We've done Charlton (2023), Cape Cod (2024), and Deerfield (2025). After his passing in January, I wasn’t sure I could continue it on my own. I’m incredibly grateful that Megan and Phil stepped in to keep it going with me.

This year marks stop number four: Tewksbury.

And I’ll admit, whether it’s the Rhode Island in me or just me being me, I always want to call it “Twerks-bury”. Breaking that habit is a struggle 😂

The location itself is absolutely stunning. Set on a former country club, the space feels like a cozy lodge with warm lighting, high ceilings, and plenty of room to spread out.

Outside, it’s just as impressive with beautifully maintained grounds, a large patio, and tons of open green space to hang out.

They have a pizza oven on site with amazing freshly made pizzas on hand stretched dough and fresh ingredients.

Here’s what I tried:

🍺 Jubilee with Pineapple | Imperial IPA | 8%
Hopped with Peacharine. Juicy and easy to drink. No strong pineapple coming through, but still really enjoyable.

🍺 Juice Machine with Peach and Guava | Imperial IPA | 8.2%
Hopped with Magnum, Columbus, Amarillo, Citra, and Galaxy. Slight bitterness balanced with a light tropical sweetness.

🍺 Fellowship Vanilla | English Porter | 5.5%
Smooth and malty with coffee notes, with a little boop on the nose level of vanilla.

Thank you to Megan and Phil for making this tradition feel whole again. I appreciate your friendship more than you know 🩷

And to Dan, this tradition started with you, and I will carry it with me every year.

Cheers to another year 🍻

Last summer, Allo and I planned an Amesbury brewery day to help me push closer to brewery number 200 on my spreadsheet. It's a great area to hit a few spots in one trip. We even met up with Taylor .taps !

We kicked things off at BareWolf Brewing, easily the prettiest stop of the day. Set inside a historic mill building, the space is laid back but full of personality, with multiple rooms, vibrant backdrops, and local art everywhere you look, all leading into the main taproom.

Their beer is brewed in small batches with no filtering, pasteurization, chemical additives, animal products, or refined sugars, and the menu is always rotating.

🍺 Bebop | Dry Hopped Kettle Sour w/ Sabro | 4.3%
Lightly sour and a little herbaceous. Great if you don’t love overly tart sours.

🍺 Cozy as Hell | Session Mead | 4.5%
Chamomile forward with hints of vanilla and a slight bite at the end. It takes a few sips, but it grows on you.

Already looking forward to going back to see what’s new on the menu!

A little hidden, a little chaotic, a little New Orleans.

Courtyard Brewery is a whole vibe. Tucked inside a converted warehouse with open garage doors and a courtyard patio that pulls you right in.

Inside feels like stepping into someone’s basement if they had an eye for thrifting and zero rules. Mismatched furniture everywhere, chairs that look straight out of a school, and walls covered in unique, offbeat art. It’s quirky, a little chaotic, and packed with personality.

The indoor space definitely leans into that chaotic energy, while the outdoor patio is a bit more relaxed, with greenery and room to breathe.

🍺 Glass Full of Flowers | Hibiscus Saison | 5%
Light and refreshing with a soft hibiscus note and a nice touch of saison funk.

🍺 Last Mr. Pig | Hazy IPA | 7%
Hopped with Galaxy and Strata. Super smooth and flavorful, with a slight sweetness up front and a lingering bitter finish.

It’s the kind of spot where the beer is great, the vibe is unpredictable, and it all just works.

Who’s ready for Clues and Brews: A Murder Mystery Beer Tour? 🥸🍺

Providence Tour Company just launched their newest van tour, combining local history, brewery hopping, and a twist of mystery. You’ll explore different Providence neighborhoods while making stops at three local breweries all while working to solve an unsolved Rhode Island case.

The breweries stay a secret 🤫 and are revealed along the way as you play interactive mini games between stops.

It’s a fun experience for both locals and visitors, perfect for learning more about Rhode Island while enjoying some great beer.

Use code "cluesandbrews" for $5 off your ticket (valid through April 30th)!

One of my absolute favorite parts of New Orleans is Patrick, the brewery cat 🐱🍻

Patrick is the resident cat at Ecology Beer Creative, and the moment I spotted him snoozing in the bushes, I knew exactly where I was spending my time. I fully abandoned my cold beer and the beautiful AC just to sit outside in the melting sun. Patrick had chosen the patio, and that’s where I needed to be.

I sat down on a bench, and within seconds, he wandered over and curled up in my lap. I felt like I had been selected. Truly an honor.

He’s absolutely the sweetest. Constantly kneading, soaking up pets, and just living his best, spoiled life. I was obsessed.

Eventually, my time came to an end, and he decided the wooden bench was comfier than my lap (rude, but I respect it). I let him nap, went back inside, sipped my beer, and watched him from afar like a lost lover.

Beyond just having the best brewery cat ever, Ecology Beer Creative also takes care of the local stray and feral cats that visit the patio. They cover food, flea and tick treatments, and medical care.

Beer with the chance of petting a cat? Say less, I’m in 🐱🍺

While in New Orleans for a friend’s wedding, we stumbled upon a brewery that not only has a house cat, but also cares for the local feral and stray cats. Instant favorite!

There’s a patio where the cats hang out (Patrick, the resident cat, comes and goes as he pleases) and an indoor space with AC if you need a break from the heat. As you’ll see in my next post, I spent about 85% of my time outside slowly melting in the sun 😂

🍺 Together at Last Saison | Saison | 6.1%
Funky up front with a nice lemony bite. Slightly grassy, and it honestly gets better with every sip.

🍺 Fingerpaint | Hazy IPA | 7.3%
Hopped with Elani, Strata, and Citra Cryo. Starts bold, then smooths out and gets a little sweeter as it warms.

🍺 Back in the Tall Grass | Double IPA | 8.4%
Hopped with Simcoe, Cryo Cascade vs, Cryo Columbus. Smooth and malty at first, then shifts into a more bitter finish. Like the others, it softens and sweetens as it sits.

Stay tuned for my next post featuring Patrick (the real star) and more on how Ecology supports the local cat community!

For my birthday last year, we checked out a new-to-us brewery and it ended up being such a fun find.

Rustic Brewing lives up to its name. Tucked into a basement style space, it fully leans into that cozy, rustic charm. It’s bigger than you’d expect, with plenty of room to hang, some cool can art scattered throughout, and games to keep things lively.

🍺 Galaxy Blind | Hazy IPA | 6.8%
Nice and thick, with the apricot really shining through. It’s flavorful without being overly sweet. Just super smooth and easy to enjoy.

They also have a wall where you can submit beer name ideas. Dan threw one into the mix. Still waiting to see if it ever makes the cut.

This is one of those posts where I’m late (again) and the spot is no longer around 😅

Catching up on my 2025 brewery backlog has been a little bittersweet. More and more places have either moved or closed their doors. It’s tough seeing so much change in the beer scene.

The South Portland location wasn’t huge, but it had a great vibe. I loved grabbing a seat by the window and watching cars fly by. Seriously, everyone was speeding for no reason. On a Sunday afternoon, I couldn’t help but wonder where they were all rushing off to.

This ended up being our last stop before heading home, so it was a quick visit.

🍺 PB&J Gunner’s Daughter (2024) | Milk Stout | 5.5%
On my first visit to Mast Landing, I tried the original Gunner’s Daughter. This felt like a fun upgrade. You get a burst of jelly right up front, with the peanut butter coming through as you keep sipping. Super smooth, super easy to enjoy.

It’s always sad to see a location go, but Mast Landing is still going strong in Freeport and Westbrook so thankfully, they’re not going anywhere.
