Paradox Ethereal Magazine Paradox Ethereal, free quarterly digital magazine in pdf & html form, related to Art, Music and Phil The projection took place ON the audience!

Paradox Ethereal was founded by Mary Vareli in 1998, mainly organizing conceptual events, unplugged live shows and art exhibitions. After these last few years of absence, the project comes back, taking the form of a digital magazine this time. The artists presented, the personalities mentioned and the ideas or tendencies conveyed are strictly selected to spread the ideas of aestheticism, romantici

sm and transcendentalism. Enjoy this collective project, comprised of a universal language; the language of imagination” Paradox Ethereal is a quarterly digital magazine, possessing a re-enactment character and related to the Arts, Romanticism and Symbolism. We flirt with Music - folk, ethereal, or experimental forms - Esoteric Traditions, Traveling possessing an exploratory character, Art in all its magnitude and types, the Absurd in full glory, everything Victorian, Retro or Vintage, Nature, Literature, Psychology, Philosophy and above all the Transcendental. If a reader feels he is one of us we accept contributions. «The artist is the creator of beautiful things», said Oscar Wilde, so Beauty is a fuel and Imagination the vehicle. Welcome to the trip!

Daemonia Nymphe return to London for the first time after three years. All these years the band hasn’t been inactive, on the contrary, they have been working on different projects; travelling around the world, performing in the USA (at the same festival with Wardruna where the two bands meet for the first time), collaborating with Faun’s percussionist (in Germany), headlining the Wave Gotik Treffen festival in Leipzig (ahead of Myrkur amongs others) and the Mediaval festival in Selb, performing in many other European countries, composing music for a National Theatre and collaborating with Gucci in Milan. For this concert Daemonia Nymphe will perform music from all their albums including songs that were originally sung by Psarantonis, Alkinoos Ioannides and Dimitra Galani and also compositions from the latest score “Macbeth” commissioned by the National Theatre of Northern Greece and work from forthcoming projects/albums. They will also perform with various ‘ancient’ Greek instruments, some of which they have never performed with before. It will be a new theatrical and ceremonial practice never experienced before.

Ten years in London, twenty years since their first album was released ,“The Bacchic Dance of the Nymphs”, all in one concert, their biggest concert ever in the UK,

A big, big celebration!

Support from the fabulous DARKHER coming from the north of England just for this and the peculiar Prometheus and the Satyrs

"Soul consciousness arises when we stand facing in opposite directions at the same time - toward eternity and toward time, toward infinity and toward space, toward unity and toward complexity. We stand in that dualism without being dualistic, for in consciousness we can accommodate the opposites. We do this by identifying with both. This identification results in the experience of being an individual while at the same time being the whole, and finding no contradiction in this experience." Andrew Schneider

Cléopatra Diane de Mérode (27 September 1875 – 17 October 1966) was a French dancer of the Belle Époque. She was born in Paris, the daughter of Austrian landscape artist Carl (also Karl) Freiherr von Merode (1853–1909). Cléo de Mérode became renowned for her glamour even more than for her dancing skills, and her image began appearing on such things as postcards and playing cards. A particular new hairstyle she chose to wear became the talk of Parisian women and was quickly adopted as a popular style for all. Her fame was such that Alexandre Falguière sculpted The Dancer in her image, which today can be seen in the Musée d'Orsay. In 1895, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec did her portrait, as would Charles Puyo, Alfredo Muller, and Giovanni Boldini. Her picture was taken by some of the most illustrious photographers of the day, including Félix Nadar.

“André Breton would not say “Surrealistic painting”, he would say “Surrealism in painting”. In the same way, I speak of Surrealism in film. Surrealism is psychology, it is philosophy, it is a spiritual way, but it is not an aesthetic. Surrealism is not interested in actually creating any kind of aesthetic..”

Theodor Kittelsen - An artistic testimony of northern pagan tradition / Study by Philippe Blache, doctor in socio-cultural anthropology For more - Paradox Ethereal Magazine: https://www.paradoxethereal-magazine.com/theodor-kittelsen-artistic-testimony-of-northern-pagan-tradition/ "During all its career Kittelsen spread visions, natural faith, feelings and mystical qualities which encourage to valorize the « organic » facet of art and the romantic renewal of northern culture. He is a great, creative and constructive representative of nordic tradition. His faith is animated by a spontaneous love, sustained by naïve depictions which converge around an aesthetic of freedom. As a fantasist-mythological painter, Kittelsen followed his neo-romantical intuition, going beyond the materialism and the naturalism to enter the enchanting world of poetical dreams, tales and legends, the only and primitive language which maintain the people awaken, capable of perceiving the world in its integrality, respectful to ethnopluralism."
