There are different ways to listen to God’s word; however, my favorite would have to be physically reading it, word by word.

When I started reading it, I saw it as a book that would teach me more about God. I never could have imagined how it would transform me or how true it is that, as you read, the book itself transforms into a living communication between God and you.

I truly recommend taking some time even if it’s just one sentence at a time. Just be consistent and do it every day.

When I’m at my worst, experiencing episodes, or when I’ve been in a lot of pain and in really bad health situations, my go to prayer is the Lord’s Prayer from the King James Version, Matthew 6:9-13. I repeat it over and over because it brings me back to reality.

My goal is to be able to say it from start to finish without having to start over, but it’s always very hard because of what I’m going through. It takes me many tries until I finally am able to say it from beginning to finish. Once I manage to complete it, I focus on the meaning of the words and keep saying them until I feel calmer.

This is my go to prayer because I’ve lost a lot of memory, and this is one of the few things I’ve been able to hold on to and remember.

Going to the store is always challenging because I deal with symptoms every day. While I can often manage them, I never know when they’ll worsen from manageable to debilitating. Today, while shopping, I start to feel unwell and can’t quite pinpoint what’s happening. In the past, I’ve felt this way and later found out my blood pressure had dropped. When I asked for help, the cashiers kindly brought me salt from their break room.

It’s not easy to face these moments, but I know I can’t let fear keep me indoors. I know God doesn’t want me to live in fear, and that’s what I’m holding on to today. I may not have control over these symptoms or when they escalate, but I trust that He is with me through it all.

How do you keep yourself calm when your symptoms start to worsen?

I heard people talk about being born again, but I always thought, I don’t have that story. I’ve always believed in God. I was baptized as a baby, made my communion, and received my confirmation. However, I never continued seeking more knowledge of God, which left me feeling disconnected from Him.

As the years passed, I decided to truly start seeking God and learning more about His Word. That’s when everything began to change. One pivotal moment was the day this picture was taken. On this day, I took a step further in my relationship with God. From the depths of my heart on my knees I asked for His forgiveness and recommitted my life to Him. I let go of everything and apologized to God, asking Him to forgive me. I surrendered it all, and in that moment, I experienced what it truly means to be born again.

Thank You, God, for every step of this journey and for leading me to this day. I also want to thank everyone who was present to guide, support, and uplift me during this priceless moment.

Thank you to all of you for continuing to follow my journey and letting me share a glimpse of my story. May God bless all of you always and forever 🙏

There have been so many times when I’ve felt overwhelmed by pain and sadness, where it seemed easier to isolate myself and try to heal alone. Pulling myself out of those moments has been hard. But through it all, I know God sees me. He has been merciful to me in my darkest moments, even when I wanted to shut the world out and even Him.

God knows what I need, and He knows who I need. After a particularly difficult couple of weeks, He sent amazing friends who didn’t just pray for me but they prayed for my family. These friends, along with others who couldn’t be present for the picture, prayed over us and uplifted us in God’s name. Thank you, my friends. My family and I love you and thank you.

This reminds me of Luke 5:18-20 (KJV):
18 And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy: and they sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him.
19 And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus.
20 And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.

This passage is so powerful. Just as the man’s friends did whatever it took to bring him to Jesus, I’ve seen God surround me with people who lift me up when I cannot reach Him myself. They carry me through their faith and God blesses me again and again not because I’m strong, but because their faith stands strong on my behalf.

If you’re struggling today, know that God sees you too. He knows your pain, and He will send the right people to help carry you to Him. Be open to God and to the blessings of people he sends your way.

I lived in darkness. I say darkness because I couldn’t see past my suffering my own dark world that I had made up in my mind. I couldn’t see anything besides myself. It wasn’t until I started seeking God and learning more about Him that I was able to see all the blessings that were in front of me. I now see more of God’s light, and I hope if you are in a place of darkness, you open your mind to learning more about Him. I pray that you, too, see the goodness of God’s light. May it shine upon you, lift you up and out of that darkness, and fill you with all His love.

Just so you know, you already have God’s love and you will find this out very soon if you allow yourself to know Him better.

“And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.”
John 1:5 (KJV)

My prayer warriors, my brothers and sisters in God, I invite you with all my heart to pray for the complete healing of an amazing human being who has been fighting for a long time and is in need of a miracle. Whether this is your first time praying or your hundredth, please put all your faith into this moment and imagine God’s endless love as you pray. God’s love is eternal and powerful.

I ask that you pray for the complete healing of Anthony for a complete healing of his mind, body, and soul. As we pray, have faith and envision God already at work, healing him, repairing his body, and strengthening him with every word of prayer.

I ask this of you because I believe in prayer, and as the Bible says:

For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.
Matthew 18:20

Let me tell you that you are not. I felt broken before and it’s hard to get yourself out of that, but I truly hope that you see this moment as just that a moment. You are more than your daily struggles more than these challenges.

Arms are still shaking during some workouts. It’s not a good feeling to still feel very weak, but I’m not giving up.

At times, I get emotional because of how hard a workout was, but I can tell you I struggled even more mentally when I was just sitting down, watching my body deteriorate.

What are you choosing to do today? Sit back and let your body deteriorate, or give your body a fighting chance and complete a workout?

A little movement goes a long way.
