Important Dates This Month

The Day of Ashura occurs on the 10th of Muharram. It’s expected to fall on Tuesday, July 16th, 2024.

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was asked about observing As-Saum (the fast) on the tenth day of Muharram, and he (ﷺ) replied, "It is an expiation for the sins of the preceding year." [Sahih Muslim]

It is also recommended to fast as much as possible during the month of Muharram, especially on the 9th, 10th (Day of Ashura), and 11th days. Additionally, fasting on the 13th, 14th, and 15th of each lunar month is also recommended.
