Observation And Analysis......

I am learning that people's dispositions are fluid, meaning that they change, and that people can go from 0 to 100 either quickly or not so quickly.

But.....

In attempting to do the right thing, it turned out to be the wrong thing, and I had a situation that above sentence speaks about and in that moment, I showed my lack of self-control and maturity.

And.....

This taught me something about myself. It showed me that I am still a hothead, and as much as I talk about being peaceful and respectful, that is a contradiction. It showed me that I still have alot of work to do when it comes to my maturation process. I chided myself, because I talk about , but yet I don't always live by it, and I beat myself up for my lack of maturity and self-control.

And Yet.....

I had to realize that there is and continues to be a lesson in this life that I live, and I have to extrapolate that lesson, learn it so I don't make that error again. The other part of that is understanding that I am changing, just not in the manner that I want to, and that I have to course correct. I have to be BETTER in the ACTIONS I take, I have to be BETTER in the REACTIONS I make. I have to BE BETTER!!!!

One of the things that I am learning to appreciate is the small moments. The moments of love and happiness. It is those moments that I cherish. This weekend, though challenging, helped me realize that. Dark days, hard times, and challenging moments can be overwhelming, but they also can be overcome with the right mindset and with the right person. Monica Reese thank you for being that right person. Thank you for allowing me to love you and love on you, and thank you for loving me, and love on me. You have shown what happens when you love someone and show that person that they are loved.

I love you to life and beyond!!!!

Observation......

Abstract thought is an integral aspect of leadership...it requires those that are leaders to look at things from a larger perspective and take in the major and minor details, and execute a plan that is fluid and allows for adaptability, and adjustment in an ever-changing atmosphere.

A limited viewpoint, or insufficient information gathering severely hampers that process.

Brothers and Sisters

We as humans, especially as men and women wants things and relations with each other "just so", or "just right".

Unfortunately.....

People, as we have seen do not fit easily or readily into a frame. And because of that we tend to spill out over the edges of that frame. It is that beautiful mess that makes us who we are.

And Yet....

The demands of perfection often lead to a lonely road....no one is perfect...not even the person demanding the perfection. We can strive for it, but will NEVER attain it.

But.....

We must come to a point of acceptance of who we are to ourselves and we must accept people as they are....flaws and all. I believe we can get along we we learn to accept each other for WHO we are, and not for WHAT we could personally attain/recieve from that person.

Observation:

Some people will respect you as long as you are beneath them. The moment you rise above them, they will go out of their way to blatantly disrespect you.

Observations:

I am learning that some people will resent you when you are put in a place of leadership and blatantly disrespect you because they don't wanna be led by you.

I am learning that some folks will respect you as long as you beneath them, and disrespect you if you are above them.

I am learning that respect and compliance are not synonymous....both are demanded, but only one is earned.

I am learning that just because I give respect to people, they can still choose to not give that to me.

I am learning that person's true nature arises when they feel they've been slighted.

I am learning that I can do my best and still be disrespected.

I am learning that some people toss a very good word salad.

I am learning that people will ALWAYS question my ability to lead, but I should not.

Funny......learned all that last week when put in a leadership position....now I question if I want to stay in that leadership position, or if I earned it or am I a placeholder.

What good is raw strength when it cannot be wielded or employed properly. requires us to have strength, but also have the knowledge to know when and where it is to be used.
