I know I have posted this before. But, since I was bitten by one and didn't know, this is a BROWN RECLUSE SPIDER. I was told by several people on this and other social media platforms that it was a variety of other things but today learned from my exterminator it is in fact a recluse.

I have also attached pictures of my wounds today, and yesterday before and after it was cleaned.

It started on June 16th looking like a strange pimple. Flattish, swollen, white center. I didn't mess with it at first.

As the days went on it got worse. Puffier, burning, hurting, throbbing and spreading so being me, I tried to pop it on Fridays June 19th and that was obviously not the best idea.

By Sunday I was sick physically. Nausea, dizziness, fatigue and generally unwell. I knew I needed to pop whatever this was. I did and I went to the e.r after it was drained and some of the dead skin was removed i felt human.

Yesterday it was drained again and my P*P prescribed preventative antibiotics.

This morning i woke up and the "opening" has gotten bigger. It's still pretty swollen and I now have some odd rash going down the right side of my abdomen in the form of flat red spots which I understand is normal, well as normal as normal can be.

Be on the look out and stay safe. While these spiders normally won't bite you or even enter your home, they can. And if they feel trapped they will attack you to protect themselves. Like many in my area of the world I thought I would never see one.

I was wrong. Stay educated, know what to look for and stay safe.

Motherhood- noun the Oxford dictionary defines it as the state of being a mother.

That definition is far too simple.

As a mother I am a nurse, therapist, friend, playmate, chauffeur, authority, nag, provider, and so much more.

I kiss boo boos, I yell, I laugh, and I spend nights awake worrying, wondering if I'm doing it right.

Motherhood is an amazing, wonderful, difficult, stressful experience. And I wouldn't have it any other way.

To all the moms out there today, keep kicking ass. You're doing great. Today is for you.

Our job as mothers is indescribable. We are 50-100 different jobs in one. We are the champions. Being a mother is the most difficult job yet the most rewarding.

Today we honor the moms out there. don't forget to thank yours.
