Scugog loses co-founder of Greenbank Folk Music Society

This is the late, great Mogens Galberg. We had the total honour of meeting him when we visited him and Cathy in Ontario, Canada with our young family back in the early 2000s. A true inspiration who brought quality folk music to his local community with a love, purity and truth that just shone brightly from within. Total respect to you Mogens and much love to you. This man was the coolest visionary ever with all of his priorities firmly nailed down in the right order. He will be sorely missed in this world. Love to Cathy, Tara, Jen and Kelly. x

… nice people – Betrayal in Poland (CD)

Take a listen tomorrow (Wednesday 5 Feb), if you will, to Pat Sissons on BBC Radio Solent at around 12.45 pm when he'll be playing Baltic Tides by ... nice people, from the album Betrayal in Poland on Slingshot Records.

And hopefully he'll be chatting to one of us about how the track came about. It does of course, feature an amazing trio of class musicians from the Isle of Wight: Jez Gray, Rupert Brown and Gareth Balsch. Add Studio Humbug to the mix with Rob and Jim Homes twiddling k***s and stuff, and we ended up with something we are rightly very proud of.

Baltic Tides and the rest of Betrayal in Poland is available on all major streaming/download sites, on YouTube and Bandcamp and available as a physical CD from our SSR website.
