What an incredible year for drum and bass 2023 was!

As a label we have only been operating since June and very much still finding our feet, but we are very proud of what we have achieved so far ❤

•An incredible mix series from some seriously talented women in the scene
•A few free downloads released (with a lot of sick releases planned for this year)
• Two absolute wholesome vibey events

The time has come for our final instalment of this series guest mix - Anny!

She has pulled together a showstopping mix for us and we cant wait for you to hear. From minimal dark wobs to classic dancefloor anthems this mix has got it all.

Known to most in the scene as one of the masterminds behind Bass Camp LDN, this Singapore-born London-based selector has made a little name for herself in the London & Bristol Drum & Bass underground scene. Since her debut as a DJ in April this year, she has rapidly risen as one to watch with guaranteed high octane sets favouring heavy dancefloor and neurofunk (although she still perceives herself as first and foremost a patron of the rave).

As a Music from the Mothership resident, she stands for diversity and inclusion in the music scene across gender, race, orientation and neurodiversity. With features on Kool FM, Data Transmission & Select Radio, as well as performances at E1, Basement 45 & Boomtown, she is incredibly grateful for all the trust and support she's received this early in her career, and strongly believes in passing it on.

Otherwise, you may also catch her at Rampage events as a brand ambassador, or on her monthly show on Music Box Radio!

DJ, songwriter and vocalist from Jersey she has being making a massive impact on the scene with her heavy DJ sets, mixes and events that she has put on in Jersey ( Awaken The Empress ) which featured a full female line up!

Also a resident of Yamatai Records, Phase Records, The Midnight Massacre, CRE8 DnB, Flair Entertainment!

Ana likes to get lost in the Deep, Dark underground realms of sounds.

Although Ana’s taste in music is heavily spread out across genres, when mixing on the decks you can find her focusing on everything Dark, Techy and Heavy. She likes to push boundaries and break barriers of what would be considered “acceptable”.

This can be shown in some of her outerworldly deep twisted concoctions blending experimental wonky sounds and some of her sinister artwork covers. In her latest promo mix she enjoyed introducing more BPM changes throughout her mix.

You can expect a rollercoaster of blends, double drops & more weird and wonderful mixing in this banger of a Neuro mix.

Heres a little bit about the man himself Evergreen!

Co-founder and proud member of “Greenhouse effect” - drum and bass collective established in 2010 in Poland consisting of DJ's and producers. Throughout the years they have appeared at majority of “Hospitality” series of events, that took place around the country, where they performed with such scene heavyweights as High Contrast, London Electricity, Metrik , Camo & Krooked Danny Byrd and many others. In addition, they ran their "Bass till dawn" party series where they invited guests like Logistics, Culture Shock, Lenzman, B-Complex and many others. Evergreen as solo project came to life around 2017, with the goal of focusing on production. He mainly releases music on his own label “Grzybek records” .One may find his productions pretty diverse from deep/liquid to neurofunk, as Evergreen is on an intensive path of searching for his own production style. As a Dj he likes to mix with a selection so varied that you can find Calibre tune next to the Spor one.

Here is our next instalment of our Women In DnB Mix Series. We are very pleased to present to you VOXI

VOXI is a DJ from the Netherlands that we met at Hospitality On The Beach in Croatia, where she impressed us with her skills behind the decks

VOXI is a fast rising DJ in the drum and bass scene in The Netherlands. Her track selection can best be described as minimal, techy, dark, rollers with a hint of jungle.

VOXI's musical exploration was sparked when she heard Kasra perform at Let It Roll, an event that introduced her to minimal drum & bass. This newfound fascination led her to labels like Critical Music, V Recordings, Overview.

Since 2022 VOXI has already played at iconic events, including Liquicity Festival, Blackout, Rolling in the Deep, Liquicity Family, Cheeky Monday and even internationally at Intrigue Live in Bristol. She shared stages with Andy C, Black Sun Empire, Nymfo, Technimatic, Serum and performed at club nights, daytime festivals and livestreams.

VOXI co-founded FLUX/X, the Dutch female DJ collective that’s aiming to encourage inclusivity within the drum & bass scene. Together they organized successful editions of their own event called IMPAKT in Leiden. They also host a livestream show in collaboration with Drumandbass.nl called MIX/XED by FLUX/X where they interview DJ/producer guests and play b2b sets.

VOXI has been collaborating with DJ/producers like Hidden Circuit, Arcturius, and Rayven Lux and is currently taking the first steps into the world of production.

Its that time again!

Bringing in Arcturius on our 2nd instalment of Women in Drum & Bass mix series.

We had the pleasure of meeting her in Croatia at Hospitality on the beach, straight away we fell in love with her sound & vibe! Big up for being apart of the series!

Hailing from The Netherlands, DJ and Producer Arcturius has been influenced by several pioneers within the Drum & Bass scene, such as Aphrodite and LTJ Bukem.

Only few months dedicated behind the decks, Arcturius has already appeared at Hospitality on the Beach, Cheeky Monday at Melkweg in Amsterdam and has been invited to several shows, such as Bridges with Auris, Drum & Bass NL, Drum & Bass Fresh Files at German Radio F.R.E.I., Keeno's Bristol Mix Sessions and several guest mixes for the Interstellar Audio crew (UK).

The 4th of November she'll be supporting legends such as Technimatic, Rockwell, Submorphics at TRIBE (NL) and on the 18th of November she'll be supporting Fokuz Recordings and Soul Patrol legends at the 5-year-anniversary of Ripple Sessions (NL).

With her respectable track selection and surprising music production, she's definitely on the radar.

Here we are! The first instalment of our awesome Women In drum and Bass mix series. We have started this to showcase some of the vast amount of talented women have in the scene. We have compiled eight talented artists from around the world to showcase their taste style and love for this music.

Our first instalment is from the power house energy queen herself Gifta We are such big fans of this incredible person, from running a label Phase Records DNB ) to shelling out E1 as part of Hospital's Foundations and Future showcase, she can do it all and wow does she do it well!

Gifta is a French Drum and Bass DJ and producer based in London. She is inspired by the energetic and aggressive side of the genre; sitting between techy, neuro rollers and skatty minimal influences. Her production is recognised through her tight, rolling drum work and strong basses, bringing the hard hitting energy she enjoys to the forefront of her sound. The same vibes are replicated in her DJ sets and mixes. Additionally, she founded her own record label: Phase Records DNB, in the summer of 2020 which has quickly established itself as a well loved label on the up and coming circuit. This year she is being mentored by the great Hospital Records for their business development scheme.

Kengai Records are an independent Drum and Bass record label based in Essex on the outskirts of London.

This label was started to act as a platform for artists to share their creativity and passion for drum and bass ranging from the sweetest soulful sounds and hard hitting minimal.
Created with the principles of bonsai, this community will care and nurture not only the music but the people of this amazing and incredibly inclusive music scene.

My name is liam .uk and i have founded this label as a culmination of my two passions drum and bass and bonsai. Being part of the UK Drum and Bass scene has felt like a beautiful journey within itself, now i would like to contribute back to the community that has given me so much ❤
