I'm dropping this special report to announce that tickets go on sale today for Cadabra Records inaugural Nightlands Festival on June 2 and 3 at Kathedral Event Center in Hammonton, New Jersey. John Lamacchia joins us this week to talk about “Thunderheads” his brand new record set to release on May 20 on Aqualamb Records. For decades, John led Brooklyn-based progressive metallic hardcore band Candiria, been active with other projects such as Spylacopa as well as DJ’ing at various NYC night spots. Thunderheads is a deeply personal record, produced during the pandemic that dealt with, as Lamacchia puts it, “ the isolation and the feeling that the world was falling apart,” however the record has a markedly uplifting quality.
