PEACE MUST BE ACHIEVED THROUGH PEACEFUL MEANS.
By Palamanda Whisperer
There is no peace without peace being procured through peaceful means though however difficult it may seem!
Let's advocate Peace through Peaceful means.
No citizens in this country have the right on behalf of the Sovereign State and above all citizens to discharge justice to another citizen who has committed crime. Absolutely no, and totally against the law. By no means nor measure we do not promote such.
Papua New Guinea is a democratic country governed under the Westminster System of Parliamentary Democracy with the clear and distinctive independent functions of the three arms of government..
Our judiciary system must operate and function at the Community Level in the Ward Areas. What is missing in the villages in Hela now is the village court system. That system is no longer functioning and there is immediate need for the HPG and Governor to empower the functions of the Law Order Justice Sector is fully functional and the village court systems must be resurrected with the District Court Magistrate in Tari and Koroba managing all this cases at the villages like it used to be in the 70s and 80s..
I am mindful of the hardworking public servants who are ensuring Hela is operating and functional but our politicians need to be more insightful with better planning and resourcing strategies to manage some of these recurring social issues that are destroying our people.
