Bill here, I had a great gig last night with my band STEREO BOUNCE . It is not often that I am able to mix my two worlds of ART and MUSIC. My good friend and artist supreme, Tom Yeates, told me he was going to stop in to hear the band. I dug through my art collection and located four nice Swamp Thing pages that I had bought from Ken Hooper years before. When Tom arrived with his lovely date, Kathleen, I invited them backstage after the first set. I warned him that I had brought a few pages to autograph. He had not seen these pages since he had given them to Ken for assisting on the inking. Check out my favorite, a bit of an origins page, complete with Alec Holland's burning body being thrown from the lab ...everyone is in it...Swamp Thing, Man Thing , Batman, even STING! The original art initially had a nice painting of Swampy that had been put into the center during production. I asked Ken to draw in the face of Swampy to fill the void left for Tom's painted image. The results can be seen in the awesome page.
