2023: Atiku Abubakar Campaign Office Sealed Off In Rivers

The Rivers State campaign office of Atiku Abubakar the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has been sealed off.

The Rivers State PDP presidential campaign council said the action was based on the orders of the Rivers State government.

The office which is located in GRA Port Harcourt was sealed off in the early hours of Friday.

Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike had a few weeks ago signed Executive Order 22 which prohibits the citing of campaign offices by political parties in residential areas without government approval.

But the media team of the PDP PCC, Rivers State, said it had applied for approval from the state government but has not received any feedback for several weeks.

The group, therefore, condemned the “act because it rubs off on our fundamental right to free expression of interest.”

It also said: “This egregious move by the Rivers State Government, seen in the prism of politics, tends to militarise our democracy and renders our dear state politically recessive when juxtaposed with other states in the country.”

Dog owners storm Naira Marley's residence

A large number of dog owners with their pets have stormed Naira Marley's residence after a viral video of him feeding each of his pets with full chicken surfaced online.

A few days ago, the Marlian President shared a video on his Twitter handle of him feeding his pets.

The video sees Naira outside his house taking a full chicken from a big bowl held by one of his associates and giving it to each of his pet dogs.

On the last count, it was realised that the singer had given out seven full chickens to each of his pets.

He fed them while his latest song "Vawulence" played in the background.

Seeing the large meal Naira's pets enjoy, dog owners marched down to his residence with their pets just maybe to also partake of the sumptuous meal.

Actress Yvonne Jegede Blasts Ex-Husband, Kunle Fawole

Actress, Yvonne Jegede, has lashed out at her ex-husband, Kunle Fawole aka Abounce, for abandoning their son.

Jegede slammed Fawole during a chat with her colleague, Merch Johnson-Okojie, on her cooking show. The episode was published over the weekend.

Asked the state of their relationship, the actress said, “We don’t talk.” When Johnson-Okojie asked about his relationship with their son, Jegede said, “He doesn’t come around. He doesn’t call, he doesn’t do nothing. I don’t know what could have caused our friendship to deteriorate. Apart from the marriage, we had a good very solid friendship, I think I still look at the friendship we have and believe that what we are experiencing now shouldn’t have been so.”

Jegede went on the reveal that Fawole only came to see and acknowledge their son, when he was about five months old, after she threatened to remove his last name if he failed to show up.

She said, since then, the actor had refused to be in the life of his son.

Jegede and Fawole got married in 2018 and their marriage crashed less than two years later.

A boxer representing Imo State at the ongoing National Sports Festival in Asaba, Delta State, Chukwuemeka Igboanugo, has d!ed in the ring.

During the 86kg duel on Monday, Dec. 5, the boxer received a punch in his chin from his opponent Prince Gaby Amagor, from Anambra state.

When Igboanugo failed to get up, the referee ended the fight and declared Amagor the winner.

Igboanugo was immediately removed from the ring for medical attention before being rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced d£ad.

A hunter was shot d£ad by his own dog after the pet stepped on the trigger of his gun, it has been claimed.

Ozgur Gevrekoglu, 32, was on a hunting trip with friends over the weekend, and the incident reportedly occurred as he packed up his gear.

The new dad put his still-loaded shotgun into his car boot, and the dog is said to have stepped on the trigger with its paw.

The owner was then blasted at close range and k!lled instantly.

Police and prosecutors are investigating the bizarre death on the Kizlan Plateau in Alacam District, Samsun Province, Turkey.

Mr Gevrekoglu's body was first taken to Alacam State Hospital and then transferred to the state capital, Samsun, for an autopsy.

Local media reported that he had become a father just 10 days earlier.

Ozgur appeared to have owned multiple dogs, going by his photos. It is unclear which dog is said to have been involved in the incident.

Kim Kardashian to receive $200k a month for child support as she and Kanye settle divorce.

According to a report my TMZ, Kim and Kanye, who were meant to go to trial next month, settled their divorce amicably on Monday November 28th.

Kanye has agreed to give Kim $200k a month for their four children's monthly upkeep. He also relinquished the $4.5m home he bought across from Kim's house last year after Kim filed for divorce, saying he bought the house in other to be close to his children. Kim will be responsible for all expenses related to the 5 bedroom home.

His settlement also states that he gets to keep his $60m Malibu home, two ranches in Wyoming, 300 acres in Calabasas, a home in Belgium and his childhood home which he bought in Chicago.

While Kim gets to keep the property she owns in Idaho and the $60 million Hidden Hills estate where she and the kids live.

The ex couple will split education and security expenses for the children and Kanye will have equal access to their kids; meaning he will be able to see them whenever he wants.

Man Shares New Photos Of Abandoned Baby He Rescued In Enugu

A Law graduate, Benkingsley Nwashara, has taken to his Twitter handle to share photos of a two-year-old girl he rescued after she was abandoned by her mentally-ill mother in Agabani town, Nkanu West Local Government Area, Enugu State.

He shared photos he took of the child when he rescued her, as well as a recent photo of the two of them on Sunday.

Nwashara in an interview with Saturday Flex Naija Blog had said that he saw the child sitting helplessly on the street on June 15, while returning from a late-night party with some friends, and that when he asked about the child, he was told that she belonged to a mentally-ill woman who lived in the area and had been there for about days without any help.

Sharing the latest update about the child's welfare, he captioned the pictures, "How it was vs How it's going. You can't tell me that God is not faithful."

In another post, he shared some pictures of the child on Monday and said, “She went from being an abandoned child diagnosed with kwashiorkor to being plump and with a home and family. God is the greatest.

Father, 62, and son, 19, arrested for gang-r@ping, impregnating his biological daughter

A 62-year-old man, Kehinde Adeleke and his 19-year-old son, Ayomide, have been arrested by police operatives from the Gender Section of the Lagos State, for alleged gang-r@pe of his biological daughter, who is equally a bl@ sister to Ayomide and she became pregnant in the process.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Enelu Danisa Street, Ijeshatedo area of Lagos, where they reside. After the suspects were arrested, the condition of the victim became much complicated following the medical test conducted, which showed that she was pregnant and cannot ascertain who between her father and the brother who actually was responsible.

The Police alleged that the man, Kehinde and the victim’s biological brother, Ayomide, conspired and engaged her in the act and it was concealed until she became pregnant. She then opened up and revealed what happened.

The matter was reported to the Police in the area and they were arrested and transferred to the Gender Section of the Police Command for further investigation over their conduct. After thorough interrogation, the Police found them culpable and subsequently charged them before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence, which attracts several years of imprisonment or life imprisonment if found guilty before the Court.

However, when they were arraigned, the Court did not take their plea after the prosecutor, Inspector Lucky Ihiehie, moved a motion asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice since the alleged offence was a capital offence.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.A. Layinka, ordered their remand in custody at Correctional Centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos, without option of bail pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice while she directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for advice. Man declared wanted for dr¥gging a lady and absconding with her N320k and other items at a hotel in Imo State

A man simply identified as Emeka is currently on the run for allegedly ste@ling from a lady, Amarachi, at a hotel in Owerri, Imo State.

It was gathered that the incident happened on Thursday, November 4, at a hotel, Owerri, when the suspect invited her over for a hangout.

A source said, “My friend went out with this man on his invitation and he gave her a drink which had been l@ced with a dr¥g in his hotel room. She woke up to find him gone with her iPhone 12 ProMax, 32-inches bone straight hair missing.

She retrieved her line and discovered that he had cleared out N320k from her account. When we uploaded his picture on our pages, different victims reach out to us about how he did the same thing to them. This man must be arrested.

My friend has been behaving strange since the incident. Only God knows what he gave her to drink.

He did not slump. He just did not wake up from his sleep - Sammie Okposo's manager speaks on the late singer's demise

The project manager of popular gospel singer, Sammie Okposo, Hillary Vincent, has denied media reports claiming the Wellu Wellu crooner slumped and died on Friday, November 25.

The veteran gospel artiste passed away last Friday, and so many reports claimed he slumped and died.

Setting the records straight, Vincent in an interview with Punch, said late Okposo died in his sleep.

“It is not true that Sammie slumped and died. That report is false. At the right time, the family will set the records straight. But, I can tell you authoritatively that he did not slump. Rather, he just did not wake up from his sleep.

As regards the funeral arrangements, the details will be made known by the family. But right now, they are still in grief and mourning the departed singer.'' he said

Th 51-year-old singer left behind his wife, Ozzy, and children.

A popular comedian and activist, Debo Adedayo, aka Mr Macaroni, has said he would vote for the candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi in the 2023 presidential election.

Mr Macaroni made this known in a tweet on Saturday.

The activist also maintained his stance that he would not campaign for any politician ahead of the elections.

DELTA STATE GOVERNMENT ARREST ILLEGAL REVENUE TASK FORCE OFFICERS ALONG SAPELE, OGHARA AND KOKO JUNCTION (VIDEO) Operatives of the Delta State Task Force on Road Taxes and Revenue Leakages today dislodged and arrested some members of an illegal ring of revenue task forces extorting money from motorists whose illegal check bunks were spotted along Sapele, Oghara and Koko Road axis respectively within the state. The State Task Force ably led by its coordinator Mr. Malachi Moye, disclosed that the clamp down became necessary as a result of the activities of the illegal revenue task forces which he said had become notorious, and giving the state a bad image. Speaking to newsmen at Koko junction, Warri North Local Government area, Mr. Moye warned those behind the illegal task forces to desist as the state government would bring the full weight of the law to bear on them. He noted that several complaints of harassment of road users had reached the state government and that the illegal activities of these task forces must stop. Some motorists interviewed commended the intervention of the state government, noting that travelling along major highways in the state had become a nightmare on account of the activities of the illegal task forces. Recall that the Secretary to the State Government Chief Patrick Ukah had in a statement on June 29th, 2022, warned of dire consequences for operators of illegal revenue task forces operating within the state. While pointing out that revenue collection in the state was the responsibility of the State Internal Revenue Service, Mr. Moye advised those desirous of becoming revenue agents to seek the approval of the Revenue Service before embarking on any form of revenue collection. The task force coordinator revealed that the operation would be extended to all parts of the state, stressing that those arrested would be charged to court within a few days.
