💥 My name is Dr. (Sir) Chika Abazu and I am running for the position of Member, representing Ideato North/Ideato South Federal Constituency in the upcoming 2023 general elections.
I am a Public Health Physician of over 22 years experience in Civil Service; who has risen to the position of a Director at the Federal Civil Service and has served at various levels with merit and distinction. A consummate professional who's passion is excellence in service delivery for the good of humanity. An alumnus of Abia State University, Nigeria Defence Academy Kaduna, West Virginia University Morgantown USA and Emory University Atlanta USA. I am happily married with Children. My desire to represent Ideato North/Ideato South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, is borne out of love, passion and a sense of duty to serve the federal constituency in particular and the entire Nigeria in general.
Ideato nation lacks purposeful and quality representation at the National Assembly leading to dearth of developmental programmes and projects across all spectrums of human existence. Projects planning and implementation has been reduced to mere tokenism with it's attendant impact felt across the entire Ideato nation - poverty, lack of basic infrastructures and environmental devastation. It is glaring that Ideato nation has never gotten her fair share of the national developmental projects distribution. This will change under my watch and Ideato nation will get her share and even more.
I am not the sort of individual that makes bogus promises without any clear and feasible means of actualizing them. I am God-fearing, honest, hardworking, dedicated, focused, charismatic and with rare leadership qualities that are tailored towards societal development. If elected into office, I will leave no stone unturned to enhance the growth of our dear Constituency in the following areas:
Legislative representation
Accountability
Education
Youth and women economic emancipation programmes
Road Infrastructure
Power
Water
Health
Sports
Social welfare
Security

The above will be achieved through:

Sponsorship or co-sponsorship of at least two bills and 2 motions that would impact the Constituency every year; meaningful contribution in plenary and committee activities especially oversight function.
Prudent utilisation of Constituency Funds for genuine, people-focused, transparent and verifiable projects and programs.
Building and equipping of modern school structures and making learning fun for children through learning aids; financial support to primary/secondary school students; facilitating university scholarship for exceptional students.
Establishment of a training hub for the training of youths and women in various vocations including ICT and Agriculture; giving of starter packs/seed grants to trained persons.
Procurement of heavy construction vehicles like bulldozers, font loaders, grader, compactors, trenchers etc for all year round erosion control, road grading and maintenance.
Facilitation of the restoration of electricity to all communities in Ideato through procurement and installation of transformers and other power installations; construction of solar street lights at designated areas
Greater Ideato water scheme will be birthed for provision of basic water supply; procurement of motorized borehole drilling machines; all year round drilling of boreholes in designated and accessible areas within the community; provision of borehole drilling services at highly subsidized rate.
Construction and equipping of primary health centres
Construction of mini sports stadium for sports and recreation. This would engage our youths and reduce youths restiveness.
Establishment of the "Kitbuz" styled settlement for our elderly to ensure that their feeding, medicals and general welfare are taken care of.
Strengthening of the local security networks.
Accessible and reachable to the constituents
Mobilization of funds for various projects from donor agencies and development partners

All is now set to flag-off the reconstruction of Owerri-Mbaise-Umuahia road and Orlu-Mgbee-Akokwa road tomorrow, Tuesday 26th July 2022.

The flag-off ceremony has been scheduled to hold by 9:00am for the Orlu-Mgbee-Akokwa road (at Orlu Mobil Filling Station), 11:00am for the Owerri-Mbaise-Umuahia road, point one (at Fire Service Junction) and 1:00pm for the Owerri-Mbaise-Umuahia road, point two (at Enyiogwugwu Junction).

The general public is hereby invited to witness this eppch-making event in the history of road revolution in Imo State by the Shared Prosperity administration of His Excellency the Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma.

IMO ROAD REVOLUTION: GOVERNOR HOPE UZODIMMA TO FLAG OFF CONSTRUCTION OF TWO FEDERAL ROADS IN THE STATE

Barring any last meeting change, all is set for His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma to flag off the construction of Owerri,-Mbaise-Umuahia road and the Orlu-Mgbe-Akokwa roads.

These roads are another set in a series of Federal Roads constructed by the Imo State Government under the Shared Prosperity Administration, with the approval and support of the Federal Government.

Over the years, negligence of these roads by previous administration had left them to ruins. The deplorable state. these economic roads had taken a toll on the motorists, residents and business outlets along the routs.

These important road projects would be handled by Craneburg Construction Company and it's expensive that within record time, the project will be delivered.

Having considered the difficulties being encountered by citizens in their quest to get their PVCs, the PG has liaised with INEC officials to ensure Akokwa people register and have their PVCs.
Consequent upon this, there will be a bus at St Peter's field Akokwa from 11 am on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday to convey people to Urualla for registration.
The bus will go to and fro Urualla until our people are fully registered.

NOTE: The turnout registered on Wednesday would determine whether the number of buses will be increased as well as increasing the number of take off points.

A PERSONAL STATEMENT .

Ụmụ Akọkwa na Ọhaigiri ekele m unu!

It's with a heart full of Thanksgiving that I humbly express my profound joy and gratitude to you my beloved brothers and sisters of our ancient and historic city of Akokwa on my historic victory as the Candidate for the Federal House of Representatives, representing Ideato Federal Constituency in the 2023 general elections.

Since my emergence as the flagbearer of our great party APC, I've been overwhelmed by your outpouring of love, through phone calls, text messages, WhatsApp and other social media platforms; from the bottom of my heart, l say thank you.

All these for me, underscore the urgent need to put our beloved shinning city on the hill, Akokwa and our Constituency, on the part of genuine progress both in politics and development.

I'm not unaware of the enormous challenges ahead in terms of infrastructure and developmental needs of our Constituency as these were the primary reasons for which I joined this race. However, I am reassured that with God on our side and the collective will of each and everyone of us doing our fair share, we shall change these narratives.

I wish to state unequivocally that I am not in contest with anyone, rather, I am here to do the will of God and only His will shall be done.

The fact that one of our brothers is also the flag bearer of the opposition party only goes to show the growth in the political story of our dear city Akokwa. It should be a source of joy and pride to all and sundry and MUST never be exploited to polarise our hitherto peaceful and prosperous city Akokwa.

As we draw closer to the campaign for the general elections, I'm not
unmindful of the emotive nature of electioneering campaigns.
I have therefore made it clear to all who work or will work for me throughout this campaign that offensive or abusive languages are not acceptable to me. Nor will any form of incendiary comments be tolerated. I never used them in the primary election and I never intend to use them during the general elections, as they do not define me.

This campaign should be about issues and development and not character assassination.

Only God gives and take powers and anyone whom He chooses, we Must respect and work with.

I therefore, wish to commend my brothers and sisters who ran in the primary election with me. We are all winners, and I welcome each and everyone of us to join hands with me to give our beloved Constituency a face lift.

Most importantly, I will like to express my profound gratitude to His Excellency the Executive Governor of Imo State for his fatherly role in entrenching democracy and good governance in our dear State.

This woman whose picture appeared beneath had an accident at Okija Anambra State. She was in a bus going from Onitsha to Owerri on Saturday 29th May 2022. The accident occured around 6pm. She could only give her name as Ugomma Akaogu, from Mbieri Imo State. She named Nnenna Anosike as her Sister who lives at 93 Njibako Street Owerri.

She also named Bryan Akaogu and Obiageriaku Akaogu as her children who are students of FUTO Owerri. She says she sells female clothes at Owerri.

Court Orders Interim Seizure of Okorocha’s Abuja Property

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja today, Thursday, February 24, 2022, ordered the interim forfeiture of a property at Plot 1032 & 1033 Cadastral Zone AO3, Takum Close, Off Michika Street, Ahmadu Bello Way, Garki Abuja, reasonably suspected to be proceeds of unlawful activities of former Imo State governor, Senator Rochas Anayo Okorocha.

Justice Emeka Nwite gave the order while ruling on a motion ex-parte brought by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, pursuant to section 44(2) of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended), and section 17 of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act No. 14 2006, seeking the forfeiture of the property on the grounds that it was acquired illegally.

The Commission stated that its investigation had revealed that sometime in 2018, Abtisal Global Ltd and Archivisual Solution Ltd, companies in which Okorocha is believed to have interest, received N222, 000,000 from the Imo State Government Treasury to develop and improve on the said property

In the ruling, the court directed that the interim forfeiture Order be published in the national dailies, alerting anyone with interest in the property to show cause why it should not be forfeited to the Federal Government of Nigeria.

Many people have heard of The Young Shall Grow Motors, a leading long-distance luxurious transport company in Nigeria with over 500 luxurious buses which moves to and fro on Nigerian roads. But not many know Chief Vincent Amaechi Obianodo, The owner of this giant transport company who started life as a vulcanizer and a bus conductor In Kano State.

Chief Vincent Obianodo was born on August 10, 1947, in Umueze village, Neni in Anambra State. He spent his early life in his hometown and when he became a teenager, he discovered that he had nothing to show or rely on, then he moved to Kano state in search of greener pastures and a better life. In Kano state, Chief Vincent Obianodo learnt how to fix punctured tyres and became perfect at it (a time when few people could do it), hence he had a lot of customers queuing up to fix tyres for their bicycles, motorbikes, and vehicles.

Chief Vincent Obianodo continued fixing tyres just for a few more years before he decided to go into the transportation business as a bus conductor. This was what he did until 1972 when he had gathered enough money to buy his bus. After acquiring maximum knowledge on how the transportation business works, he then decided to stop working as a bus conductor and he acquired a mini-bus to ply from Enugu to Onitsha route.

As his business grew, In 1973 he relocated his business operations from Onitsha to Lagos and ventured into a more developed transport business, which he started with two locally built Mercedes Benz 911 buses. After seven years of operating in Lagos, the number of buses he owned increased from 2 to 40 alongside his transport business. He also engaged in the delivery of goods which also boosted the success of his business.

Chief Vincent Obianodo’s exceptional customer service delivery also got many people patronizing his transport business and by 1978, he decided to expand his business further by opening up a new interstate route, plying from Lagos to Onitsha to Owerri. He also bought a Mercedes Benz 0362 luxury bus for this purpose. This expansion gained his business more fame and within 6 years, his number of buses grew to 150. Owing to the success of the business, Chief Vincent Incorporated his business in 1984 so he could fully cover every possible part of Nigeria, as a leading inter-state luxury bus company.

Today, The Young Shall Grow Motors is one of the largest luxury bus companies in Nigeria with more than 500 buses that ply almost every route in Nigeria as well as other west African countries like Ghana, Burkina Faso, Mali and The Benin Republic.

Chief Vincent Obianodo success doesn’t stop at transportation, it also includes other sectors like Hospitality, Oil and Gas, Real estate etc.

Conclusion: Anyone can achieve anything If they are not just smart, but also take advantage of opportunities whenever they are present.

In a statement made available to TeamKpomkwem this morning by Chief Sir Chinemeya Iheaku, next of kin to the deceased, the family expressed appreciation for the outpouring of love and emotions that have greeted the death of their father.

"We are grateful to political leaders, Royal fathers, Community leaders business executives, women groups, condolence visits and avalanche of soothing words, enconiums and kind remarks on the life and time of the icon", Ide said.

The family requests friends, associates and well-wishers to join them on Friday 18th February 2022, as they bid their great icon farewell to the great beyond.

ABOUT 100 PEOPLE HAVE BEEN PENCILED DOWN FOR THE TRAINING EXERCISE, ACROSS THE 27 WARDS OF IDEATO NORTH AND SOUTH.

THE TRAINEES WILL BE EMPOWERED WITH

1. Smartphone, Laptops, and other registration gadgets shall be donated to each inec ward.

2. Sim Cards for each of the trainee

3. Mobile Data and Stipends for each of the trainee.

The Training exercise will take place as follows.

Venue: GDF ideato South office, Ntueke,besides St Joseph Catholic Church Ntueke.

This is one of the tallest buildings in Nigeria. It is built in a village of Umuchukwu(Nkerehi) by one of their sons, Dr Godwin Maduka (Okosisi Orumba).

This 17 floors skyscraper is to serve as a Medical Research institute.

Dr Maduka is also one of those involved in the ongoing Community Infrastructural development competition among ANAMBRA State wealthy individuals.

He has built roads in Umuchukwu, Orumba South LGA of ANAMBRA State.
He built schools, Courtrooms, Hospital, etc.

Government may fail us, but the people will continue to push to develop ANAMBRA State.

Wedding Is Not Expensive, Says Newly-wed Man As He Shares Details Of Private Wedding

A lawyer, Ani Nnamdi Chris has encouraged men to shun elaborate weddings and go for intimate events.

Ani, who got married in Port Harcourt on Friday revealed the modest expenses he had to make on his wedding day.

He said, "I got married yesterday (Friday) at the Port Harcourt Marriage Registry. I paid a statutory fee of N15,500 and additional N5,000 for what the Registrar called 'drink money'.

"Thereafter, I hosted 10 guests (including my wife and I) to a beautiful reception at a lounge, PH."

In a subsequent tweet, he concluded, "Emeka, marriage no cost, na you wan wed like ritualist."

CHURCH MIRACLE: All the miracles you see on TV or crusades are staged, not REAL — Fr. Kelvin Ugwu

1. It is a sign that the minister is fake when he is being advertised ahead of a church program as a healer. Anyone who truly has the gift of healing does not make noise about it and won't be comfortable when it is used for an advert to pull crowd or to make him or her famous.

2. The "testimonies" you read at the back of a church flyer whenever they want to advertise a crusade or a program are often half-truths and concocted lies. Someone will tell you how she has been barren for 10 years and miraculously conceived and gave birth to twins after the "man of God" laid hands on her stomach, yet, just a little investigation into the case and you will discover that the woman did IVF. Why was that part of the story hidden?

3. Almost all the so-called miracles you see on TV or crusades are staged. Those that are not staged are more of psychological manipulations than a miracle.

4. In the Catholic Church, for anything to pass as a TRUE miracle, it must be open to a third-party investigation. The third-party must be an independent person who plays the devil's advocate.

5. You do not claim that a miracle has happened because someone stood up from a wheelchair in your "Three-day power-packed Miracle Signs and Wonders Revival with the anointed Prophet Dr. Evang Tom-Tom Chewing-gum."

The ordinary questions should be:

Who is the person?
Where is the person coming from?
What is the medical condition as presented by a doctor?
Has it been concluded by experts and did they do a proper diagnosis prior to the miracle that it will be medically impossible for the person to walk again?

Asking those questions does not make you an unbeliever. Our faith is what St Anselm describe as Fides quaerens intellectum (faith seeking understanding).
