Majority of them have been quite venomous and downright acerbic... Does he deserve to be criticised? Why not? All of us who criticise others should expect people to get angry every now and then, but I don't expect them to get so abusive. Anyway.

I'm a big fan of Rufai Oseni, warts and all. And the reason is simple. It is about his intellectual prowess. He is sound and confident. His style is unique to him and it fascinates or irritates his critics and admirers differently.

I'm writing this to encourage him. He should remain brilliant and focused 💯. GOD bless him mightily...”

Chief Ayo Adebanjo, the leader of Yoruba Afenifere has made some claims about Tinubu's certificate saga.

He said:

“There is no truth in what he says. That’s the unfortunate thing. I feel sorry for the country, particularly Tinubu defenders, can they be proud? Whether true or not, why is it him? When they finally produced the record from the university, it was even more damaging".

“In this Tinubu saga, you presented the certificate from the university, now they are trying to change (the conversation) to his attendance at the university.

“How many people attended the university and never completed it or even dropped out? You said you attended and have the certificate, and the registrar said they don’t know about the certificate. What more do you want?

“This is what makes me sad in this country and those still saying something in defence of this ugly situation where we should cover our face as Nigerians that the man we produced to be our president has his baggage. I am concerned.”

Reminding Nigerians about his defence for Tinubu's certificate saga in the past, the leader said:
“Mind you, I should be one of those who should be proud that Tinubu is the president of this country because I made him the governor of Lagos state. When this certificate saga started, I was the one who defended him. I defended him from the fact I saw at that time. But when some facts are now coming up, I folded my arms.

“Forget technicalities, do the substantial justice. Can any honest person, in view of the exposure from the university, say he (Tinubu) got that certificate from the university?”

Please look at the price of the top of the range Toyota Land cruiser (Invincible) carefully.
Remember NASS budgeted N160,000,000 for each, abi, okay.

At today’s rate £1 = N1,302.
Okay let’s do some mathematics.

If one Top of the range Toyota SUV (in the UK) cost
£61, 354 x 1,302 (today’s exchange rate) = N79,882,908.0
So the cost of one SUV in Naira will cost = N79,882,908.00
Lets add shipping cost say N5,000,000 (because we know and have shipped cars to Nigeria in containers, not RORO). Let’s add another N5m for unexpected expenses. The equals N94,882,908.00 (for argument sake let’s round it up to N95m.

Now NASS & APC are telling us that one SUV cost N160,000,000.
Let’s deduct
N95m from N160m = N65m.

Two questions:
1) So, does it mean that the budget for new SUV’s for NASS was padded?
2) So, who pocketed the difference of N65m on each SUV?

Arise TV is not the only Television Station in Nigeria, if you don't like Rufai's way of asking questions don't tune to the station, tune to the NTA instead.

Rufai Oseni is not a trained Journalist but rather an On-Air Personality (OAP), hence your standard of how Journalists work in Nigeria may be an anomaly for him.

People are just making him popular with the way they write and talk about him.

I know Rufai is doing what the owner of Arise TV told him to be doing otherwise the owner would have sacked him.

On this note, if you don't like his style of presentation don't honour any invitation to feature on Arise TV Morning Show, you may go to Radio Lagos, NTA Akure or Mini Jojo for appearances instead of fighting Rufai up and down.
