'Connections eMagazine Readers Choice Awards Rules Et Al'
I've just learned that all the voting going on at the moment is for the 'Public Vote' only BUT, the actual overall winner that will be announced in the July edition of the Connections eMagazine is based on further criteria of which the Public Vote is only one part. The other 4 (four) parts that will be considered are:
1/ Compelling Topic /Moral or Societal value
2/ Age Appropriate / Illustrations
3/ Cover Design
4/ Presentation (Formatting, Grammar, Typos, etc.)
Have to admit that looking at the additional criteria I feel pretty good about things. I was very very conscious of having a strong moral values showing that it's possible for enemies can come together as one to help another; theirs also the family values as well as adventures, twists and turns, drama, tension and surprises in the form of new found friends revealing a a really strong message with a happy ending not to mention equally strong educational and family values that you can engage with and enjoy time and time again. In addition, though I am biased 🙂 Cameo Anderson - Writer / Illustrator sensational illustrations can only be described as 'every picture tells a story, every picture is worth a 1000 words'.
If I am honest; OK I wrote the stories BUT it's Cameos artwork that makes the books so perfect for youngsters and adults alike.

**** BREAKING NEWS - IS the LOCH NESS MONSTER REALLY A DRAGON ****

This image was delivered anonymously to the Adventures of Hot Rod Todd garage this morning. It shows Baby Nessie playing with the puppies in the hidden, secret, mystical and mythical island world allegedly situated in Loch Ness. There also appears to be a motherly Dragon flying in wings spread preparing to land.

As far-fetched as it may seem, could it be that this beautiful dragon is in fact Baby Nessies mother; is it possible that this beautiful dragon is in fact the real Loch Ness Monster? Early sightings going back as far as 1933 described a “sea serpent” or “dragon.” Does this exclusive image confirm that?

Hot Rod Todd and the pack all have no recollection of this visit saying, “Yes we did make a trip to Loch Ness and Eye Patch Echo was lost in the dark waters. We all went searching for him but, well, the next thing we knew we all awoke on the shore and Eye Patch Echo was safe and sound. We have no recollection of this event but, without a doubt, that is us in that photograph. Oh and now looking back, it is strange that Eye Patch Echo’s eye patch was now blue.”

We have our news crews on the scene investigating but so far no sign of what could be a mystical, mythical hidden island that’s a haven for the Loch Ness monster and all creatures in need of safe haven and protection. BBC New York Post USA TODAY Idaho Statesman Idaho Press

**** PIP GREGORY UPDATE ****
A many of you know one of our members, Pip Gregory suffered a serious accident a while back which damaged her spine and was airlifted to Hobart in Tasmania. Her recovery isn't easy, will take quite some time learning to walk again but she will do it. Being a Husky mum, she's a fighter and then some. Here's a couple of the last posts her mum Deborah Gregory has made. So everyone, prayers and thoughts for our friend Pip and her family and of course her Wolfpack back home on the mainland that must be missing here so much 🙂
WEDNESDAY Today’s update: Pip is still in the Neurosurgical ward in Hobart. She’s been told her referral for inpatient rehab back in Victoria has been completed but not sent. After a big physio session in the gym for Pip this morning we headed out for a wander this afternoon. Pip gave herself a fish fix in a pet store Sadly she found no dogs to pat while we were out and about
TUESDAY Today we got the news that Pip has Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) which explains why she has struggled so much to walk since her accident despite her spinal cord being intact. Essentially, as a result of the huge trauma from her accident, the signals from her central nervous system are not reaching her legs so she now has to learn to walk again by developing new neural pathways. This means her recovery will be slower and hampered by fatigue and there will be times she will regress before improving again. As such they feel she really needs an inpatient rehab program and that is what they are now trying to organise. We are remaining positive despite this news but it does explain what she has been experiencing. Please pray for Pip’s recovery and for a transfer to inpatient rehab in Wangaratta

Yes, by popular request the packs Mum Empress Maya and Dad Damien Czar are the focal point of the story playing a huge part in the story and, mmmmm, along with everyones favorite, Captain Chinook, we have a couple more guest appearances but you'll have to buy the book when it's published in September to find out just who they are. You will not be disappointed.

Like the previous books, 'Hot Rod Todd Rescue Mum and Dad' is beautifully illustrated by Cameo Anderson and full of adventures with the six Siberian Husky puppies involved in a rescue mission that see's them heading off into the Alaskan Wilderness.
