Just bought us some 'thinking caps' to help with brainstorming some new and exciting stuff for 2021! After a small hiatus from podcasts the last couple of months we are now looking into bringing some more wonderful stories from our beloved international circus family while sharing, promoting, and supporting the wonderful music industry. While it still looks awhile before we can experience live shows and live music we believe its important to keep telling and listening to these stories, even if from the comfort of your own home.

Hi everyone, apologies for the radio silence over the past few months, we have been very busy with other projects lately and haven't had time to do any new podcasts, but very soon we will be back on again. I just googled the podcast, and we came up on Feedspot as number 18 in the top 50 music podcasts to listen to in the UK! How cool! If you haven't yet, please do help us out by spreading the word, giving us a review on apple podcasts, and if possible to drop us a few quid to help out that would be brilliant. Work is very tight in the entertainment industry right now, and we are working very hard to make ends meet. SUPPORT US: https://ko-fi.com/monkeybusiness. Thanks for your support so far, we love doing this podcast. Big love to you all ###

AFTER A VERY BUSY week of podcast editing (hi,it's Rada here), and the BRAND NEW release of 5 episodes last week, I decided to share one of my favourite images of me training aerial silks in a tree in Port Douglas, far north Queensland (yes, the tree was tested and safe, don't worry), many years back while filming a feature film called 'Fools Gold' with and , taken by my friend Stefan Turney.

AND WE NEED YOUR HELP. Please support this project by listening, sharing, and giving us a review/ rating here on insta, on our FB page , on apple podcasts, DONATE if you can at ko-fi.com/monkeybusiness, and tell all your friends how much you love the podcast! Thank you so much!

EPISODE 11: OUT NOW.

(PART 1 OF A TWO-PART INTERVIEW) link to interview on spotify here, but also available on many other platforms: https://open.spotify.com/episode/2cFnotF8ZSWAd4pcwa74Bc?si=ryPtcmf9SUywDmkgGgqo0A

Francesca (Chez) Dunford is a clown, performance artist, musician, theatre-maker, acrobat and aerialist. She sat down with last week to chat about life as a multi-disciplinarian, share some of her own stunning original music from her album 'Of Forest', and talk about a new show she is in with Bristol-based clowning/ improvisation company 'Beyond the Ridiculous'. Their show 'The New Normal' airs live ONLINE at 8pm THIS SATURDAY 10th Oct, 2020, supported by Bristol's very own Wardrobe Theatre. You can watch the show in your own living room by buying a ticket at https://thewardrobetheatre.com/livetheatre/beyond-the-ridiculous/.

We also shoot the breeze about life in current times, how she found herself wanting to entertain from a very young age, her lifelong love of music, and reimagining herself as an artist in the current world. The interview is fun and informative, and yet again too long to upload as one episode, so we present it to you in two halves. This is PART 1 of the interview, PART 2 will be out in the next few days we promise!

(EDIT: Ok, so late-night research meant I put the wrong links here for reviews! Haha, no wonder we don't have too many, even I can't work it out. So here is the edited version, with instructions....

Dear friends, can I ask a small but important favour of you all? Please can you head over to apple podcasts (if you have itunes):

Follow this link, hopefully it works, or open Apple Podcasts on your computer and search for "A Monkey on Your Back: Circus and Music Podcast" https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/a-monkey-on-your-back-circus-and-music-podcast/id1515359918)

and give our podcast a quick review/ star rating? When you search for our podcast, and scroll down you will see a Ratings and Reviews box at the bottom, click on write a review- can either just leave stars or write a few words too (would be ace to have both!). Currently researching other ways to leave a review, so apologies if you don't have itunes- if anyone else happens to know how to leave reviews on other platforms, do let me know in the comments please!

Grace Billings and I would be very grateful, as it will help to boost our online ratings and get our podcast out to a wider audience. THANK YOU SO MUCH. Let's keep giving circus a voice in these tumultuous times. Cat photo for attention only). One love ###
