He's been a high profile radio personality from Arkansas to Boston and used to host a couple of nationally syndicated shows from a booth in an old fashion diner. Proud to have Phil as my guest on Brian's Beat Radio...

Happy New Year! Since we’ve hit new digits, it’s only appropriate to repeat the perplexing, inevitable, decades old question. “How will more than two handfuls of [AM] radio stations survive the 20-20’s?” I believe smaller market [AMs] have the advantage here. These stations must remain loc...

About Brian’s Beat Radio Stories

Welcome to Brian’s Beat Radio Stories, audio chapters with veteran radio geniuses sharing their follies and jollies, the best and the worst, plus their insights on where they believe the industry is heading.

I’m Brian Thomas, host of the Brian’s Beat radio talk show. I’ve held mostly on-air and middle management positions. My four decade career includes coast-to-coast, small to major market broadcasting, national syndication and sales. I host a Saturday call-in talk show discussing the issues of the day with and about celebs, politicians and the average Jane and Joe.

Brian’s Beat Radio Stories typically runs fifteen to twenty five minutes and will release twice a week beginning in January 2020. These are interview audio chapters featuring accomplished part-timers to owner-operators telling the stories you never hear about. How they overcame adversity and what drives them. Occasionally, I’ll host audio chapters with managers seeking warm bodies to help grow their station, group or network.
