Urgent appeal to find missing 11-year-old from Scarborough 👇

We're appealing for the public's help to locate missing 11-year-old Ellie Peaker.

Ellie left St Augustines School on Sandybed Lane in Scarborough shortly before 3.20pm today (Monday 15 May 2023) and has not been seen since.

Ellie (pictured below) was last seen wearing the St Augustines School uniform. This is a dark blue jumper with a white shirt underneath, black trousers, and a blue striped tie. Ellie also had a black puffa style jacket.

Ellie is approximately 5 foot 1 tall, she is described as average build and has light brown shoulder length hair.

We're currently carrying out extensive enquiries in the Scarborough area to locate Ellie but are growing increasingly concerned for her welfare. Officers are now asking for anyone who may have seen Ellie, or who has information about his whereabouts, to contact them immediately.

Anyone who has seen Ellie, or has information that could assist with our urgent search, is asked to call us on 101.

Urgent appeal - can you help us find him? 👇

We've issued an urgent missing person appeal to help find Micah Anton Suscenko.

The 40-year-old was last seen heading into the village of Speeton, in the Filey area, at 11.30pm last night.

Micah is described as white, slim build, 5ft 10in tall, brown shaved hair, grey eyes and walks with a limp on the left side.

It is believed he will be wearing light blue jeans, a grey Superdry jacket with a blue stripe and dark walking boots.

He has a tattoo of the name ‘Jemma’ on both arms.

We are increasingly concerned about Micah’s welfare as he left home without his medication.

If you have seen him or someone who matches his description, please contact North Yorkshire Police without delay on 101, option 1.

For immediate sightings, please call 999 so we can make sure he is safe and well.

Man sentenced for public order offence after eggs thrown at the King 👇

Patrick Thelwell, 23-years-old, of Heslington in York, appeared for his second hearing at York Magistrates Court today (Friday 14 April 2023).

Thelwell was charged with threatening behaviour contrary to Section 4 of the Public Order Act 1986.

He was sentenced to a 12 month community order and 100 hours ofunpaid work.

This follows an investigation into an incident which involved eggs that were thrown at HM The King in York on 9 November 2022.

We're urgently appealing for information and possible sightings to help locate a missing teenage boy from Selby 🚨

Lewis has not had contact with his family since 8.35pm on Saturday (8 April 2023) when he was due to return home from the town centre.

The 14-year-old, from the West Park area of the town, failed to return home at 9pm and he was reported missing just after midnight.

He was last seen at around 8pm near the Monument when he appeared to be by himself.

His family are growing increasingly concerned for his safety due to his young age.

It is also out of character for him intentionally stay away from home and to remain out of contact.

Lewis is described as white, 6ft 2in tall, brown hair, slim build and he is believed to be wearing a black fleece jacket with a small Karrimor logo, black t-shirt, black Nike jogging bottoms and black Nike trainers.

If you know where Lewis is or you have possibly seen someone who matches his description since Saturday evening, please get in touch with the police immediately.

HGV drink driver arrested after crashing into barrier on A1 👮

Around 10.25pm on Friday, the police had reports of a HGV which had crashed into the central reservation of the A1 heading south near Wetherby Services.

When they arrived, they found the driver had reportedly fallen asleep at the wheel and collided with the barrier in the middle of the carriageways.

Thankfully, no one was injured but upon taking a roadside breath test, the driver was found to be more than double the drink drive limit.

The lorry was blocking the middle and outer lanes so they worked with Highways England to manage traffic past the scene during the recovery operation and collision investigation. The lorry was safely recovered around 1am on Saturday morning.

The 25-year-old driver, from Cahersiveen, Ireland, was arrested and later charged with drink driving. He will appear at court in February.

Did you see what happened or do you have any dash-cam? ‼️⬇️

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage after a man suffered serious head injuries following an assault near Thirsk Industrial Estate.

It happened at around 5.35pm on Monday 1 November 2021, when the victim was walking along York Road and was assaulted near the second junction (heading out of Thirsk), that leads to the industrial estate.

Officers came across the man, who is local and aged in his 30s, laid on the pavement with serious head injuries.

He was airlifted to James Cook Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

The police are treating the incident as an assault and are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage from anyone who was in the area at the time, including the moments before the incident.

Emergency services are currently in attendance at an ongoing incident at the Grand Hotel in Scarborough.

The hotel and surrounding buildings have been evacuated as a precautionary measure and the area surrounding the hotel, including St Nicholas Cliff and the Spa Bridge has been cordoned off to allow emergency service to attend.

Members of the public are advised to avoid the area.

Have you seen wanted woman Rachel Nelson? 👀

40-year-old Nelson was jailed for 3 years and 10 months in April 2018 for attempted wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm but released in August last year on license.

She has now been recalled to prison for failing to comply with her licence conditions.

Despite repeated attempts by officers to locate Nelson, she remains outstanding and we are now asking for your help as part of our enquiries.

We believe she could be in the York area, but she also has links with Leeds.

‼️URGENT appeal to find missing Deighton man, Gerrard Burrell-Hodgson.

53 year old Gerrard was last seen at his home address on Deighton Lane, Deighton around 10am yesterday (1 March 2021). He is 6ft 1 with a stubble beard and short dark hair. He is believed to be driving a grey Land Rover Defender.

We believe Gerrard may be in the Thirsk/Northallerton area and we are extremely concerned for his welfare.
