Dear Listeners of Chunks of Brass.

Having thought very long and hard about this, the time has come to hang up my headphones on a Sunday evening.

I have been presenting Chunks of Brass since July 2020. At that time I was furloughed, no band to play with and plenty of time on my hands. Therefore I was so grateful for the opportunity given to me at that time by Kevin Lever and KL Radio.

I could not have done this without the support of my lovely wife Debs who has contributed so much to the programme and the music I play.

But of course it's also a huge thanks to those who have listened, joined in the chatroom and provided so much encouragement.

This has not been an easy decision, but the programme needs new impetus and new direction. KL Radio will strive to continue to have a weekly live output of brass band music, so if you are interested please get in touch and we can have a chat about what is involved. Please do not think it's a difficult job, a love of brass band music and enthusiasm about the subject are the best qualifications and experience for the role.

My last show will be Sunday 18th December 2022.
