By the way, I spotted the national round champion from 杨康绮Caroline in Bilibili creator Kunn起床了's vlog, so just makes me all the more regretful about not being able to go to Chengdu for the finals a while back... Nevertheless, fingers crossed I get to meet her at Fudan and I'll be able to go to Shanghai in the first place🤞

The nationals finished a while ago. Only the top 6 from the two days’ semis go through and I ranked 16th on the second day. Definitely not exactly happy, but when I think about the process of transforming from a Hong Kong 2nd runner up last year to a champion this year (though maybe the more capable people all didn’t join the competition🤷‍♂️) who can represent Hong Kong to compete with 80 elites in the Mainland who’re all champions in their own provinces and regions, I know I wouldn’t wanna change one bit of it. Thankful for the people I got to know and the opportunities I was given because of this competition, but I understand I gotta actively seek and create opportunities if I wanna go to the next level.

At the same time, I’ve truly realised just how many talents there are in the Mainland. It was a shame I couldn’t go to Chengdu to meet and learn from the other competitors. I’ll be going to as an exchange student next semester though, and it just so happens the university category national champion 杨康绮 is from Fudan (https://fashion.chinadaily.com.cn/a/202110/06/WS615d9827a3107be4979f12b8.html)! Hopefully I’ll get to meet her and all the other smart chaps from Fudan, so I could learn a thing or two~ For those of you who’re from Shanghai, do say I if we ever meet one another😙

Before that, gotta work on this sem’s gpa😬

P.s. Dunno when the 2nd runner up glass award’s edges started cracking😢

Just had this rush to share with u all the only 2 “UP主”, i.e. creators on Bilibili (tho I discovered them on YouTube initially 😅) I follow: . I’m sure many of u are already watching their vids, but really have learnt a ton from these seniors who are killing it. Could only expect to get more from them in the future. They also inspired me to talk abt a lot of the topics I’ll be covering in future vids. Keep it going guys!

Meeting a viewer, getting to know some German students at an event so Ich kann Deutsch sprechen üben, i.e. I can practice speaking German (double checked on google translate👌), dragging n pushing this box (with my new hopefully-ergo chair in it) on the streets for ~10 mins back home (great cardio workout. I’m sure would agree) n getting the AirPods Max ( ). Oh n of course I got that ~$200-300 cable that apple doesn’t include in the box n I’ll be losing b4 I even use it review of that n perhaps a desk setup vid will be coming in 3-4 months:)

Oh n if u were wondering, skl’s been great for me. Every day’s like today: very exciting (meeting ppl, going to classes) — except for all the actual skl stuff (hw, tests, readings). Like said, it’s only week 3 (n we’re half-dead😇)

my times for the team trials yesterday (in short course 25m) n some pics of me taken by the magical, mercurial — ahem i mean

pretty gd for someone who hurt their right shoulder/arm n plays soccer to prepare for a swimming time trial. oh n i got stepped on n cracked my right big toe's toenail when i played soccer with the lads this morning, so... great:)

in all seriousness, huge respect to my awesome n super nice seniors n . they'd tear me a new one if we were to race in a long course pool, which is wt we'll be racing in tgth during the annual aquatic meet on 9 oct. n i think they didn't even train that much b4 trials yesterday so yea, im pretty much dead meat:) oh n of course my mate would destroy me 12 out of 10 times as well if we were to race against one another😌

screw sports, im goin back to studying n public speaking, even tho ppl like n are probably gonna destroy me in class n on stage. hmm...

k b4 i offend any more ppl, hopefully someone will help me take notes in class now that my right arm is non-existent (how did i type all this tho), tho tbh who takes notes right

shoot i might have just offended more ppl, oh well right? (fake laugh)

not a bad way to prepare for the team trials tmr, where i'll be doing the 50, 100 n 200 back, after i got destroyed at the team trials last Friday
