Our last film of our first throwback series is "Albert in Blunderland" which is an animated short released in 1950. In a dream Albert, a worker in a statist economy, is forced to watch a state-sponsored "free movie" on national planning. On awakening, he is convinced of the failings of excessive government control.

This film is regarded as a critique of "The New Deal" that played a pivotal role in the government's ability to regulate the economy. The film is also considered a followup to the novel "Alice in Blunderland' that also questioned economic policies at the turn of the 20th century.
