I AM THAT I AM
Exodus 3:14 “And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.”
According to the Wikipedia, the Hebrew conception of monotheism states that God exists by Himself for Himself and is the uncreated creator who is independent of any concept, force, or entity.
Many people have tried to explain what God said to Moses so long ago as He spoke from the burning bush. But God is an incomprehensible God and cannot be explained. The all powerful God describes himself to a man as I AM. Then in that moment and from there on He began to show unto Moses and to the children of Israel who He is. He sent plagues on their enemy and delivered them, He dried up the Red Sea, He sent manna from heaven. He did so many things in an effort for them to understand who He is.
This all powerful God is our God today. I AM ‘all’ THAT I AM. I believe God wants to show us who He is if we would only allow Him. These are difficult times. The bible says the devil goes about like a roaring lion seeking who he may devour. Sadly God’s people allows him to devour us instead of trusting in the ‘I AM.’ God wants to show us who He is and as He moved on behalf of His people Israel with signs and wonders, so He wants to move on your behalf. We must recognize that we serve the unexplainable God. He has called us His children. No force or power can stand before Him and He demonstrated that to the children of Israel time and time again. He wants to demonstrate to you that He is the ‘I AM.’
God wants to heal you, He wants to deliver you, He wants to set you free. To give you bountifully blessings you have no room to store. The ‘I AM’ wants to be to you all that He is.
There will be obstacles, there will be enemies, there will be trials, there will be problems, just like the children of Israel faced. But we must know and believe that the almighty God, who by him all things consists is our God and He will show up on our behalf with the force of everything that He is (I AM) to defend you.
“For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.” Col 1:16-17.
He is in control of thrones and dominions, He created men, angels and demons, and everything ever created. All were created for Him. He is according to the Hebrews ‘the uncreated creator”. Your God is all powerful and controls all things. No matter what force you think is arrayed against you, it was created by Him and for Him. Let Him be to you the ‘I AM THAT I AM.’ And watch your circumstances bow under His control.
