I’m Emily, the founder and Lead Designer at Full Bloom Agency.
I'm a coffee-drinking, dog-loving, church-going gal who loves to be surrounded by beautiful things.
I have 7 years of design experience but took the leap to start designing full-time in 2020 when my management position in hospitality took a turn amidst the pandemic. I sent off a first round of branding concepts yesterday for a Pilates & Personal training studio here on Long Island.
The goal was to create a feeling of empowerment while also having an overall feeling of positivity and balance. We did this with a cooler color palette that balances both dark and light tones, a typeface that is bold but still has movement & hand drawn elements that represent the breath and growth that happens while training.
I’m excited to see what direction this client goes in, but for now here’s a little sneak peak!

What a night ✨
I had the opportunity to teach a Brand Intensive with last night and it really was pure magic.
Being surrounded by almost 50 women entrepreneurs all there to learn and grow was so inspiring.
Almost 2 years ago when I started this business my why was to help as many small businesses as possible show up confidently in a digital world and my why is true to that today.

Is a picture worth 1,000 words? -- Definitely, yes! (If you have the right pictures)
Today, people have a concentration span of fewer than nine seconds or even less than a goldfish.
Because of this, social media images are more powerful than ever 💥
Here Are My ✨ FIVE ✨ Tips to Improve Your Social Media Photography
👉🏻 Lighting is EVERYTHING-- Lighting truly is everything when you are taking photos. It doesn't matter what kind of device you are using - if the lighting is too dark your photos will not turn out great.
👉🏻 Attention to Detail & A Focused Subject Will Make For Better Photography -- While you are snapping pictures, make sure to be aware of your surrounding and always strive to be as clean and simple as possible! With this, the subject of your photo will pop more and your social feeds and website will look more clean and professional.
👉🏻 Framing & Composition are Great Ways to Make Your Social Feed Look Different! -- In order to make your photos look more interesting, try implementing the "Rule of Thirds."
This basically means that if you broke your photos into thirds, your subject will only be taking up one-third of the space in the photo, the rest would be considered "dead" or "blank" space.
👉🏻 Don't Even Think About Using Zoom 🙅🏻♀️ 🙅🏻♀️ -- Additionally, if you want to bring your photo in tighter, never use the zoom feature on your phone.
You never want to compromise professional-looking photographs for a close-up. Quality images are what make your brand stand out. This is vital when thinking about marketing your business.
Good quality photos boost a potential customer's view of reliability because they find your brand more professional and on par with the industry!
Instead of zooming in, simply crop your photo in the editing process.
