Yesterday I finished my first script for 'Forbidden Love'. An epic fantasy love story featuring the character of Death. The first reactions to the script have been that of shock and pleasant surprise and excitement. It fills my heart that it is being so well received, since I poured every ounce of myself into this story. In my 20+ years as a writer, I don't think I've ever crafted such an amazing script with such a deep and meaningful story full of historical, biblical, mythological, and supernatural references. I can't wait to share it with everyone.

Well, I've been quiet for a while and that's due to the detail going into the new production I'm doing. For this epic fantasy love story, I wanted to go back to practical effects to create a realistic masterpiece. I need to build 10 miniature sets (locations) for the script. The first is finished, has been filmed, and has had the effects added. The video of the scene itself is incredible so I thought I would tease what the location looks like in the finished shot. - A.J.

Been having fun building dragon bones for the miniature set I've been working on. Started with foam board for the spine. Shaped wire for the ribs, and now molding it with foam clay to give it the shape. Just have the tail bone to add to the rib cage now before moving on to the next piece. Can't wait to see it on the landscape when it's done.

As many of you know, I began working on a new project a few months back. A tragic epic fantasy love story featuring the character of Death. I wanted to go back to old school film techniques to make an artistic masterpiece. I've been in the process of building a large scale miniature in the studio (my first one ever actually). The location known as Titan's Ridge in The Hereafter is nearing completion and I'm just thrilled with it. I just have one more miniature element to add to the model, then we adjust the lighting and add the fog, moon and sky elements. When the actors film later in production, I will be adding Death and his horse Winky into the shot as well. I thought I'd share a current behind the scenes photo of what the model looks like through the camera's lens. I hope you like it as much as I do!
