His unedited post reads, “On one fateful day I met a man named okoro in a building site where I was working for my daily bread, okoro told me he like me, he want to help me achieve my dream because he saw me as a great person. He told me could you like to work in UK. I just started laughing because I don’t have money for that, then I told him no am not interested and asked me why I told him I don’t have money for that.

“He just started laughing to me and told me he is going to introduce me to senator his company in UK need workers, so he could start my visa processing.

“I have no other option than to accept the offered, after two day the man came to the building site again and told me the senator wanted to see me so we could start the visa processing, then I dropped my shovel and head pan and went to bath immediately.

“Mr okoro took me to unknown area where I haven’t been before, I was afraid maybe he is a money ritualist, I encouraged my self since I knew Mr okoro for a long time there will be no problem. Mr okoro hand me over to one young man wearing a suit, he told me everything about then I told him Mr okoro has already explain everything to me and I have accepted to work in UK.

Their later gave me a room on that mansion and snap me a passport photographs and told their will start my visa processing immediately. the kind of food I ate there my generation haven’t ate it before. I was so happy staying in that house. After a week their told me my visa and passport are ready their told we are going to leave tomorrow, I was taken to airport from there we land in UK I was taken to a hospital in UK.

“When we landed in hospital in UK I was told I must went for a medical test to check my health status, if I’m fit for the job I accepted without any question. I thank God for doctor harry who told me everything and I told him why I’m here and he later called police for my rescued.”

we are finally at the backstage and we started with the production number, and all the girls did amazingly well , After the production wear, we went backstage again to prepare for the swim wear, and after swimwear ,we were asked to prepare for national costume. and after the national costume we were asked to rewear our production clothes because they will announce 📣 top 10
Time for announcement, I wasn’t scared because within me I did great, the MC Asked all of us to come back to the stage. My heart was beating fast though I knew I was going to make it to the top 10.
They began with the boys, Because the Judges Were finalizing which of the girls will make it to the top 10.
So after calling the top 10 from the male side, the my moves to our side,
He started with “ to Announce the top 10 female category “ a smooth music 🎶 was played and he said
top 10 goes to female Candidate numbers 4
Top 9 goes to Candidate 9
Top 8 goes to candidates 16
Top 7 goes to candidate number 13
Top 6goes to candidate number 2
Top 5 goes to candidate number 1
Top 4 goes to candidate number 7
Top 3 goes to candidate number 3 I heard my name chiamaka Blessing chijioke and I stepped forward

And we are asked to take pictures and after taking pictures , we were asked to proceed backstage and prepare for questions and answer. I was so excited and guess what my boyfriend was there to support me he didn’t just come alone he came along with his friends .while dressing backstage , Our secretary met me and said good luck Amaka , I know you can do this . I’ve always told you to believe in yourself , do yothe best and leave the rest for God. if you don’t win just know that you did your best but I know you will win 🥇.I was so happy when she said those affirmations words to me-
I proceed where I hung my evening gown , Got it wear it and smiled, after dressing up we asked to come out and judges asked candidate to pick a number, and they will read out the questions and you have 30second to answer.
It’s finally reached my time I was asked to pick a number and I picked number 4 and my question was” how will you save Mother Earth:
My answer ; thanks you for that wonderful question, if I to save Mother Earth , I will start by walking the talk? By going to schools, churches and some rural areas and teach them how to REDUCE, REUSE AND RECYCLE. Thank you.
Crowd cheered at me and I was so happy in my head I was like they do something nice and I went back to my position every other girl and study a question and it was time to announce top five.

November 29, 2017 I Went to school took all the items I got to show our secretary and she was impressed and ask how about my evening dress I told her it needed some adjustment.
She said anyways we have exams next week and she gave me two option , which are 1)do I want to write my exam after the competition Or 2) before the competition? I told her don’t worry, I will write my exams before the competition she said OK .
November 30th, 2017 Was is a public holiday in the Philippines, It happens to be a weekend yeah! I had so much fun,took care of myself, read for exams,had enough test ,didn’t go to church because I was avoiding questions like oh what happened to your fore head , why is your forehead swollen .that why I decided to stay in door to avoid Q&A😂.
Went to the Tailor to collect my dress and it was beautiful, the picture below was the evening dress 👗 I wore.
First week of December i went to school and I was fully prepared for the exams but unfortunately my instructor of that set exam did not show up I felt so bad but that. To have a productive day I search “how to walk on high heels 👠 on YouTubeI, And that was also my first time to walk on a 6 inches heels, in case you want to know how it felt working on a 6inches heels 👠, guys I thought I was going to have broken ankles but little by little, step-by-step that was how I perfected my walk.
Time for lunch have my lunch went to the library to revise because definitely I know one of the instructors will show up tomorrow . I always want to appear on my school bulletin or billboard as a Dean’s lister. I really want to have 50% discount in my next semester tuition fee so for me to achieve that I need to study well.
The few days left I wrote all my exams and it was so easy but the only one subject that gave me tough time was chemistry 🧪 I’m not so good in chemistry but because I have a target 🎯 I needed to do my best.
I was so excited that next week was the coronation night I was amazed to meet all the candidates because these candidates were picked to represents their faculty, I was furious, I almost lost confidence when I saw my fellow candidate , I left and went to the bathroom I looked Through the mirror and said some affirmation words to myself , “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens “
After reciting my affirmation words there is this Air that blew me , I became confident and proceed to the backstage.

I took a quick glimpse to see if it was the result from the preliminary.
and it turned out to be items I need for the coronation night. So I took it to the secretary and hand it to her-and she went through it and said see you tomorrow Amaka. so I went home had a quick dinner because I was famished,did my night routine, and of course took my medications. I know you might be wondering why am I taking medications in my last article I said I had cluster headaches . And before i sleep I do use cold compress on my forehead, to ease the pain.And the cold compressor helped a lot Nov 28 2017 I will never forget what happened I went to school the next day my secretary called me inside her office and told me “good morning Amaka”, I went through the list you gave me and I have spoken to some of your classmates to do some donations. And this is what the came up with(2750₱).I was so happy that I’m not in this alone ,she did not just hand over the money to me , she also appointed some students that will follow me to the market. After my classes that day , I and some appointed student went for market survey and we ended up buying some of the items in the list.
items like shoes, evening dress and some accessories-some of this items were expensive and the money they contributed wasn’t enough, my boyfriend helped me out with some cash. So I was able to buy everything I needed.
The dress I bought was a bit bourgeois I took it to the Tailor close by ,to adjust the outfit and she asked me to come back in two day time and we left i got home called my sister and mom told her how my day went as usual and she was like oh I’ll put you in my prayers, don’t worry everything will be fine I believe in you my daughter .

First week of November 2017 was for preliminary:

I woke up on that said date, did my morning routine, skipped breakfast because I was in a covenant (fasting) . Remember doctor asked me not to skip any medication 💊 but I skipped it and hold on to my faith for this week’s event.
Went to school my instructor for that day, told my classmates I will be representing my faculty and they should all support me, Before the class will end one of the organizers walked inside my classroom and asked my instructor to excuse me. I followed her, little did I know that the preliminary has begun, she looked at me and smiled, I smiled back in my head I was like ( why this one they smile 😊). Approaching the building where the event will hold, I excused my self for 1 minutes went to the Restroom 🚽 to pray, after which I returned immediately, upon reaching the hall I saw lots of people who were dressed neatly and were seated as judges my heart pounds faster . I enter the hall I sat down waiting for the show to begin. I looked round to see if Can see an African person, I did not see anyone, I’m the only black girl seated amongst the Filipino, I did not get discouraged but a rare privilege.

The show began , Judges introduced their selves accordingly same goes to all candidates.
Time for questions and answers, I answered my questions with excitement and I left for my lectures, my classmates were asking me, how did it go, I told them I messed up and they encouraged me to do better next time . But on my own side I did amazingly well. Went home that day called my sister and mum to share my today’s experience and they both encouraged me.

The next day I went to school , our coordinator handed a file to me, in that file ….

Continuation from my last post: I got home that day.
I called my sister NurseGlory I told her about my new development and she was so excited to hear I was picked to represent my faculty, next thing she asked me was (have you called mum) I said not yet but I will when I drop our call. After speaking to her, I called mum. Mum was excited and told me I should not be scared that she will put me in her prayers. I said okay ma. Before I dropped the call I told her : mum I’m the only black girl amongst the Filipinos , she said before you sleep read deuteronomy 17vs 14. I hunged up.
While sleeping I dreamt, I lost during the finals and was crying, I got up prayed and called mum again, she said my daughter ”you are a winner”
2weeks before the contest we were asked to study the history of the Philippines and memories some articles. In my head I was ready to do study everything so I could come out with flying color. I had sleepless nights studying another country histories.
Due to excess reading and stress I had migraines which brought out big boil on my forehead, I did not stop I keep pushing, I was admitted to the hospital for medication 💊 but still did not give up.
First week of November we had preliminary..,

I remembered 2017/18 when I was asked to join mister and Miss Arellano university, my dean at that time persuaded me and she said something to me”Amaka I believe in you, I believe you will bring the crown to our faculty “. I went back home. Stood in front of my mirror 🪞 and asked my self “Do you want to disgrace yourself?, Same day I went to the bathroom to shower 🚿 , I could hear my dean’s voice, I stayed in the shower for God knows when. Meditating 🧘‍♀️. Sleeping time I was already dreaming 🛌 I lost , I sweat my self out, until the next morning.
My alarm buzzed had my shower and went to school, I proceed to my dean’s office and told her I cannot represent our faculty, I don’t want to be defeated. She looked at me and smiled and said win or loose I still believe in you. 5pm same day after a whole lot of inner battle , I went to her and said I will represent our faculty. Immediately she hands me a form to fill. While filling up I was scared and furious, I don’t even believe in myself, my self confidence disappeared. After filling up , I hand it over to her. She smiled and said Goodluck Amaka .

My plans vs God’s plan
I never had plans of joining RMU , I only returned back to the Philippines for my Transcript, because since After my graduation (14.dec.2021) , I have not heard from my school regarding my transcript, so I needed to travel down here (Philippines) to know what’s the problem. Remember I had plans , few days to my stay here, I was contacted by one of my old Filipino friend, who asked me to represent Nigeria 🇳🇬 in the upcoming Runway, at first I almost declined because I have never won any international competition but my inner spirit have accepted I’m going. I asked him to give me time to think.
He replied and said, we got dropped the Nigeria girl who was going to represent your country and T the only person on my mind was you”AMAKA “.
