Very “tito” move from the two-time MVP hahahahaha
What’s scary about Miami is you can’t just put them away. They will come back fighting until it’s over.
Here, Butler low post against Murray. He surveyed the floor, then attacked the basket. Jokic helped. MPJ helped. Bam screened for Highsmith, Butler found the latter for a corner 3 to cut the lead to 9 with 2:39 left. Haba pa nun for NBA teams.
Bam’s playmaking for the nth time.
Denver prepared well for Miami’s zone, plus it’s great to have an elite playmaking big on the floor. Who should Bam guard? Jokic or Gordon lurking towards the baseline? It’s not easy guys.
Spamming Bam’s playmaking. Ganda nito.
2-3 Zone from Filipino Pride Coach Erik Spoelstra. It didn’t matter for Murray. Insane.
Empty pick-and-pop naman from Jokic and Murray. The Heat did a better job covering Jamal, but he had Jokic popping out so…
This time, Bam took it upon himself 😅
Simple lang part 2:
1. MPJ curled off a Jokic screen, not available
2. Murray to Jokic
3. Another empty PnR from Jokic-Murray
4. Martin got caught in the screen, couldn’t recover in time.
5. Murray and-1 off a runner. Hirap nun ah.
Another beautiful ball movement from Miami. I was impressed with Bam’s playmaking. He needs to be locked in in this series.
Nikola Jokic lol. Empty pick-and-roll with Murray.
Too worried about the mismatch, Bam didn’t see the incoming screen from MPJ. No switch with Vincent. Jokic to Murray for a practice-shot triple.
Side-note: Take a look at the Nuggets’ size advantage.
Beautiful movement from Miami. Nice dish from Bam here. He played great yesterday especially with his playmaking.
Ito simple lang.
1. Jokic screened for MPJ.
2. Jamal to MPJ
3. Bam couldn’t commit/tag because Jokic is a threat from deep. If he did, MPJ would kick it out to the two-time MVP for a triple.
4. Lane was open, no help defense because Brown and Gordon can shoot, MPJ slam.
Parang ganun pero hindi ganun.
This is beautiful off of horns:
1. Horns with Gordon and Jokic
2. Murray to Jokic on the right elbow
3. Gordon backscreen for Murray
4. Jokic surveyed the floor.
5. Caleb Martin couldn’t commit to/tag a cutting Murray because Jokic will find Michael Porter Jr. for a triple.
6. Jokic to Murray
No communication from Vincent and Jimmy Butler here. Weren’t they supposed to switch?
Nuggets taking notes from the Celtics. Miami was worried about Jamal Murray’s perimeter game. Gabe Vincent was too high in his position here, Murray and Jokic saw this then it was a bucket.
The Nuggets took advantage of their size, attacking all the mismatch they get after switches. Aaron Gordon just bulldozed his way to the basket many times in the first quarter. He’s Denver’s unsung hero throughout the playoffs.
EXHIBIT B: Huerter curls for a three
Take a look at how many screens they set to confuse the defense. Poole should have done a better job trailing Davis.
