Good evening Outer Banks Nightly News, Morning Edition fans.
I have been incredibly blessed these past several months in bringing you, what I have hoped to be, encouraging and uplifting broadcasts each Tuesday and Friday morning. You have become family.
Unfortunately, my work schedule has changed to where I am not going to be able to continue the Morning Edition for several months. I love you all, but I’m not doing the broadcast at 4 am!!
I will continue to bring a message on Thursday nights at 7 and Sunday mornings at 8 on the Cross Culture Community page. I hope that each of you can join us there.
Remember, it is open season on “Good Stuff” and there’s no bag limit. Let’s encourage each other and speak peace and hope into the lives of those around us.

A reminder Christmas Programs starting today at the Dare County Libraries
Each year, our visit from Duck Santa at the Manteo and Kill Devil Hills Libraries and Family Christmas Program at the Hatteras Library are extremely popular and well-attended. Like so many other things, this year our Holiday Programs will be drastically different, but still fun. At the Manteo and Kill Devil Hills locations children can join us for a “Drive Thru” Christmas Program in our respective parking lots. Children must remain in their parent/caregiver vehicle at all times. Children can drop off a letter or wish list to Santa (there is one on our website you can use or you can come up with your own). While supplies last, children will also receive a themed take home craft kit from the library. Most importantly, Santa will be outside to wave to the children as they drive by. At the Hatteras Library, children are invited to walk the specially decorated pathway next to the library (while social distancing from others), and receive a themed take home craft kit.
Please don’t arrive early! We’ll be setting up in the parking lot up until 3:00 pm, and we don’t have anywhere for early arrivers to wait in their vehicles.
“Drive Thru” Duck Santa will be in the Manteo Library Parking Lot on Wednesday, December 9 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and at the Kill Devil Hills Library Parking Lot on Thursday, December 10 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The Hatteras Library outside Christmas Craft Pickup will be held on Thursday, December 10 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. These programs are free, and no preregistration is required.
