Does it mean that...⁠⠀
〰️ the world around you instantly changes to reflect the BEAUTY that you believe in?⁠⠀

I KNOW, it's not exactly what we're *supposed* to think about, because then we'd be all that into our reality... (I'm a student of too, don't worry 😉)⁠⠀

BUT! ⁠⠀

The reason I'm asking you to reflect on this, is because there is stark difference between TURNING A BLIND EYE and MANIFESTING. ⁠⠀
⁠⠀
Those are two vastly different things.⁠⠀
⁠⠀
One is stemmed from a place of discomfort, pain, avoidance, and quite possibly many different other very human experiences that fall under the "unpleasant" umbrella. It is amplifying our disconnected behaviours.⁠⠀
⁠⠀
The other is part of our basic DNA structuring, of the innate ability that we have to be CREATORS.⁠⠀
⁠⠀
Lately, collectively, it *appears* as though the world's turned into a darker place. If the idea of 'instant' manifestation holds, then what does it mean?⁠⠀
⁠⠀
〰️ That collectively our baseline, subconscious thoughts are quite dark? ⁠⠀
⁠⠀
〰️ That we're finally ready to see the shadow aspects of our society?⁠⠀
⁠⠀
〰️ That we need to clear what is no longer in alignment in order to bring into form what we hold dear in our beings?⁠⠀
⁠⠀

this morning i opened up my recent book to find a piece to share and stumbled across page 110.

feels like vulnerability has been a theme lately. for a lot of us.

vulnerability doesn't mean you have to make profound statements or even make a large gesture. if you can make one small gear move then that is being vulnerable. to just make space for things you typically run from is an act of courage that vulnerability demands. to not overcomplicate but to just say out loud or quietly under breath.

eleven ways to be vulnerable
1. listen
2. don't ignore
3. pay attention
4. ask clarifying questions
5. take deep breaths
6. give yourself grace
7. slow down
8. talk to someone you trust
9. give language to your feelings
10. don't judge self or others
11. write what's real

So often when we're having a "bad day" we tend to think the day needs to get better. Or we're simply waiting for tomorrow to come because "tomorrow will be better."

When I fall into this pattern I tell myself, "your day doesn't need to change to get better. Your perspective does. Then I empower myself with recognizing all the positive things around me finding things I am grateful for. Including the hard one of finding gratitude for the present challenges (errr, I mean opportunities 😉) to grow and master; expand and learn from. ⠀

Those are designed to help you. Not punish you. It's your world!! Own it.

Repost of some of the beautiful art of (and words): You don’t have to use your time stuck inside to be extra productive—to read a lot of books, finish extra projects, whatever. Right now, it’s enough to survive the day. The past few weeks have felt like lifetimes. I haven’t been sleeping, my job is stressful, my anxiety disorder is extra taxing, and I barely had enough creative energy to draw this illustration. You don’t have to write King Lear in quarantine!!! Truly, it’s always good to take breaks, to make time for nothing. But now, it’s essential. Hopefully this can be a reminder of that.
P.S. I’m reading “How to Do Nothing” by and it’s the perfect read for rn. It’s such a breath of fresh air. I extra love the approach of a book that’s a conversation—a book that wrestles with itself and lets the writer change her mind.

As I’ve been reflecting on this idea of cultivating a temple inside, of leaning into my inner priestess-my inner wise woman, my inner strong woman, my inner wild woman, my inner devoted woman-, I got to thinking about the ways in which we can show up in this very world and experience in that way. It’s not all that linear, is it?
