This year, I’m challenging myself to replace self-criticism with self-compassion. Instead of saying, “I’m failing,” I’m choosing to say, “I’m learning.” Instead of comparing my journey, I’m reminding myself, “I’m running my own race.”

The next time self-criticism creeps in, pause. Ask yourself, “Would I say this to someone I love?” If not, replace that thought with kindness. Speak life into yourself, just like you would a friend.
