✨THE SUPRA ROYALTIES

It's taken a very long time for things to come back to normal, although not entirely. Due to the pandemic, numerous events were put on hold last year - from the Tokyo Olympics to film releases to beauty pageants.

After a long wait, Mister and Miss Supranational 2021 was held this week in Poland.

Chanique Rabe ( .rabe ) of Namibia bested 57 other national delegates to emerge as the 12th Miss Supranational in glitzy rites at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in the city of Nowy Sacz in the Malopolska region of south Poland.

Her court is comprised of Karla Guilfu Acevedo ( ) (Puerto Rico), Thato Mosehle ( ) (South Africa), Valentina Sanchez Trivella ( ) (Venezuela/Supra Chat 1 winner) and Eoanna Constanza ( ) (Dominican Republic), runners-up in descending order.

Peru's Varo Vargas ( .vargas ) was held as Mister Supranational 2021, succeeding reigning Mister Supranational Nate Crnkovich ( ) of the United States.

Here are the other winners:
1st runner-up – Abdel-Kacem Tefridj ( ) of Togo
2nd runner-up – William Badell ( ) of Venezuela
3rd runner-up – Santosh Upadhyaya ( ) of Nepal

✨SHOWCASING FILIPINO CULTURE

When we say iconic dress, this is what I mean. This dress that truly represents Catriona Gray and the Philippines. It looks like pieces of stories of a book that broughy the Adarna gown to life!

Ibong Adarna gown is a stunning a red-orange dress, with a thigh-high slit covered in custom-made feathers. The fiery dress was a creation of the distinguished designer, Mak Tumang. His inspiration for the spectacular gown was the magical bird from the Philippine epic, ‘Ibong Adarna’. The famous bird has beautiful feathers, lovely voice, and the ability shapeshift.. The materials used to make the gown were embroidered gold feathers. Used was real Swarovski crystals in the colors Hyacinth, Fire Opal, Jonquil Aurora Borealis, and Topaz Aurora Borealis.

I remember the exact moment when I was watching the live presentation of the preliminary competition. Catriona Gray glided with fire on the Miss Universe preliminary stage wearing it, leaving everyone speechless. I was like: "Ang galing ng Pinoy!"

Do you know what makes it more iconic? They made the Adarna gown with love and passion!
So inspiring! ❤️

✨ PRETTY AS A PICTURE

These girls gave a solid performance in both preliminaries and finals night. Admit or not, their body is a wonderland! Their toned abs and captivating waistlines were show stopper. ( I wish I have too hahaha) Vavavooom!

NEPAL- Anshika Sharma ( ) is the best delegate Nepal has ever sent. You may agree with us! She has that glow and wow factor on stage. Periodt!

COSTA RICA- Ivonne Cerdas ( ) was one of the biggest surprises of the night. Well, with that towering height plus the chiseled abs, and beautiful body. Okay mic drop!

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC- Kimberly Jimenez ( .r ) A sight to behold! I know that with this body, judges surely loved her performance. Her looks was commanding! Looks like a female general with her imperious command, "Who run the world?" GIRLLLSSS!!!

PUERTO RICO- Estefania Soto Torres ( .sototorres ) Never underestimate this woman. When I say never underestimate, I mean look how she slayed the runway with elegance! Came to the war- prepared and well-trained. Looks like a godess on earth with a perfect balance of beauty and elegance. Indeed the queen of Olympian gods! Have meecy on us Hera!

BRAZIL- Julia Gama ( )She knows how to command the stage. But more than that, she came in very prepared and demonstrated how powerful she was onstage. Ghorlll, she transformed! Coupled with a drop dead gorgeous body and that Brazilian s*x appeal, she completes this set of ladies! She nailed it!

Well, this is just our unsolicited opinion. You may agree or disagree- that's ok. But I hope MUO balances commercial viability ( beauty ) over advocacy and relatibity. Just saying. 😘

‼️VICTORIA SECRET-INSPIRED COSTUME‼️

Rabiya Mateo rocked red and blue wings and three stars to represent the colors and symbols of the country's flag. She also wore mismatched heels and kept her hair wavy and flowing to complete her look. She donned a Philippine-flag inspired outfit with a touch of Victoria's Secret for the national costume competition.This was the creation of late Filipino international designer Rocky Gathercole.

Rabiya ended her journey in Miss Universe 2020 as part of Top 21 semi-finalist.

‼️SI MALAKAS AT SI MAGANDA ‼️

This costume was inspired by the legend of Malakas and Maganda, a folktale in the Philippines where humanity started. The bamboo that was broken in half by the bird, a symbol of where we could fly again. As the Earth faces this pandemic, this costume proudly synthesizes the hardships of those who battled the pandemic with its headpiece that can be converted into a mask.A crown that is pictured like a sun, the rise of new beginning. According to Roxie in an interview about her national costume. We are all beautiful creatures who are strong," Roxie Baeyens ( ) added.

In a post from the Bb. Pilipinas ( )page, Samantha’s costume “Agila” is said to be a representation of the Philippines’ national bird – the Philippine Eagle.

“This costume also intends to create awareness because the Philippine Eagle is critically endangered, mainly due to massive loss of habitat resulting from deforestation in most of its range,” the post said.

Designer Patrick Isorena ( ) shared that he used gold to represent Samatha’s pageant journey and to pay homage to the Miss Grand International golden crown.

Miss Grand Brazil Lala Guedes – Lala was giving me Xena Warrior Princess with her ultra toned and cut body. Her see through green gown softened her a bit. What I like about her is that she has presence.

Miss Grand Indonesia Aurra Kharisma – Aurra is one of the best Indonesian beauty queens ever. She has a very beautiful face, a statuesque figure, and a very charming personality. She was spectacular in her evening gown performance and very sensational in this lavender gown. I love the aura!
