In northern Vietnam, there is a sleepy village called Ninh Binh. For Mackโs birthday we visited and on day two we headed to Tam Coc to cruise the river which snakes through hills and caves.
It rained quite a bit more than we expected for our river cruise, but with ladies rowing boats with their feet, and boats selling mangos and beers, all surrounded by picturesque scenery in every direction, it was pretty easy to keep our spirits up!
If you visit, be prepared to be treated like a tourist. We saw a lot of people online saying they were being ripped off and not to be taken advantage of. While we would recommend always being cautious, what we experienced were hard working people trying to earn a living. And with tourism still not back to what it was, the least we could do was engage with the locals, pay and contribute what we could. To be able to travel again is such a privilege. And if tipping everyone we meet and paying for things we wouldnโt normally means we travel a few less times a year, then so be it. If you are privileged enough to be able to travel, tip as much as you can. It really goes a long way to helping places like Ninh Binh get back on its feet. ๐ค

Technically still not as much tea as weโd drink daily in the UK, but itโs not a bad effort haha!
โจThe Bar at 15 Stamford is beautiful too โ and houses quite the Rum collection! This spot is absolutely perfect for a date if you want a quiet corner and some nice cocktails!

2021 was a big year for us. It was the year we set up our company and got our first paid gig โ in fact, we had over 10 which is why you havenโt seen a lot of us!
It was the year we hit 2.5k followers. It was the year we shot videos for kickstarter campaigns, shot an international school and created content of the best hotels in Singapore including Raffles, the Park Royal and the Fullerton Bay. It was the year we got collaborations with RayBan, Gaston Luga and DayAway. And the best part is, we still feel like we havenโt gotten out of first gear and have so much more to do.

We love the Sony look and the camera has never let us down. When we first got it, we only had the 24-105 lens which is an incredibly versatile lens as it can be used for wide and close-up shots. If you're a beginner it's a great first lens (it is heavy though!) The 50mm is a portrait lens and our new favourite. It's great to shoot with as you can blur out a lot of the background to get that creamy background and cinematic look. โ โ โ โ โ โ โ โ โ

๐ ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ฐ ๐๐ถ๐ฟ โ We use this for our aerial shots, establishing a scene, and to find new perspectives like this video you see here. We have crashed our drone a bunch of times, mostly into trees as Mack is doing sweeping shots, but thankfully it's survived them all. We've had the blades changed a few times and one of the legs is broke from a crash, but it's a sturdy little thing! The footage can be great, but it's taken us a while to get used to using it and integrating it into our shooting. โ โ โ โ โ โ โ โ โ
